The U.S. financial mess

Just reading Jubak about the takeover of the mrtgage mess in the Macs.

One horrible debt mess this country is in.

Tighten your belts and stock up on peanut butter and bread.

This is the worst money mess I have seen in my entire lifetime.

You're absolutely right! I have cut way back playing lottery to stockpile food. It's that important! The cold part is, the folks behind the scenes have penthouses scattered around the world and Lear Jets, while we're stuck with all the nutjobs and hatred all about us. Good Stuff!!!

Well, I know that the economy is not great right now. But at least where I am, it's a hell of a lot better than it was in the 70's. It was terrible then, inflation was rampant and I was constantly out of work and had absolutely no chance at finding work, because no one was hiring, and I mean no one. It was almost impossible to survive, and these days I'm doing well. Not getting rich, but I am surviving.
I know there are people that are struggling a great deal, but I still believe that part of the problem is that all we hear on the news is how bad it is. If people hear it enough, they start to believe it. People need to learn to adapt, which is what my wife and I did. What we were doing to make a living wasn't getting it done, so we change jobs, careers, and moved forward. And, most important, I really believe the good Lord took care of us. Every time we needed a little break of some kind, it seemed to come through. No other way I can explain it.

Well, I think you're right about changing careers, and I am doing much the same thing now. But I also believe this is a bit more than just a turn-down. Adapting is however, the key. So much bleeding is occurring in the financial sectors, one has to proceed with caution. If I can accomplish the home-based thing, I should be ok! It's the only way to fly for me. I am glad you and your wife have found success, and I hope it continues. When we hear negative constantly, it can cause a little paranoia, but it doesn't hurt to cover the basics!
