BEWARE of late posters.

Published:

We all know that there are LP members that post just before the draw.  It helps nobody because not even the people that play online can play those numbers.  So, they are not posting the numbers for others, just for themselves.

I discovered something interesting this morning.  I like watching the Site Activity.  I noticed that someone had posted late AND THEN did an edit on the post seconds before the draw.  Then I discovered that the time posted by Lottery Post is 3 minutes SLOW.  So, this person actually posted 3 minutes AFTER the draw, if they watch it live, they should win.  Guess what...they DID.

So, I can't give a "WTG" to people that get wins that way.

I'd have to agree, which is why I plead with people to post their picks on the predictions board. You can't cheat there. The window for posting picks on the predictions board closes one hour before the scheduled draw time, meaning that small variances in computer clock time will not allow for cheating.

If all the major predictors posted on the predictions board, and put peer pressure on others to do it (not just me standing on a soapbox), then we could all get rid of this kind of thing.

I have been talking about this 'till I'm blue in the face. Other people need to take up the mantle.

I think that there is one person who post for MI who had not been posting for quite sometime but now is back and every since I caught it the first time. I'm not very receptive to give he/she a WTG. Although I still am able to take something from the late #'s posted.

It is kinda like trying to get the most blog posts by posting copy/pasted news stories all the time to get their names the the top blog posts..........There was some here (no longer) that was the mastertroller from Calif. he would make the same comment on everything just to get his post number high.

It is pointless and is bereft of meaningful accomplishment, and everybody knows it is a cheat. Nothing better to do.

Todd, I agree about the predictions board. I can only predict 10 numbers which is fine with me. Sometimes I post more than 10 to the threads, but those posts are many hours before the draw.

I always say...."Just do you and you'll do fine!" Don't waste your time on what other people do.................... it's just elementary stuff.

You're definately right, If you're going to post numbers it should be done on the prediction boards if you're going to help other people..Also, I see a lot of posters that post one number (50) times. It would alright to do that if you're state specific instead of all- states. To me thats not predicting, thats just for EGO purposes only. I too have been guilty of that at times, but I've learned I wasn't helping anyone but myself, and thats just not me...

Interesting observation, had never noticed. Always consult the prediction board, select to omit 'All States' from those predictions. Also always check Maddog's Challenges for timely MM and PB predictions.

I've been down this road with posters before a long time ago. I check some of the posters now but frankly i don't play other peoples numbers very often. And if i do it's because their pick might match something i found in one of my workouts.
