I'm glad that I wait for a product to prove itself.

There people out there that 'Just Gotta Have The Latest and Greatest.'

I'll wait till Windows 7 finally make it's release and again, wait and see how many of you 'Just Gotta Haves' crash before I even consider buying it.

Interesting, read a review on Windows 7 which says so far it's much more stable than Vista. Happy I didn't ditch XP Pro for Vista. Know someone who did and they're very unhappy.

Actually I never had ANY trouble with Vista.
The problems are that I cannot make Vista do what I want it to do. I suspect that Windows 7 will be the same. Plus you will have to download and install some programs that will no longer come with Windows 7. Like an email client for one thing.

My son has Vista and has had a few problems here and there, but mostly related to game software he has run successfully on his old XP system.

Yes, that is part of the problem I had. Getting older programs to run. But as an operating system, I have had no problems.

I have not seen details that say older programs will run on WIN7 when they WON'T run on Vista. I have seen glowing reports that it is snappier - whatever that might mean in actual usage.

I don't like the fact that I will have to download and install programs that were standard on Windows and now will be optional. They will be free from MS but it leaves the labor portion up to me.

When Win7 does come out, I'll be watching and waiting for the live test reviews. If it looks like it may work better than expect, I may give it consideration. If the initial reviews are mixed to bad, well I guess I'll be waiting longer.

I upgrade Windows when I see my enterprise level IT customers upgrade. I've seen zero upgrades to Vista at any of my customers sites! All are still on some SP of XP or 2000.

Microsoft President Bill Gates was at a conference last month and released a swarm of mosquitos to demonstrate the spread of malaria and how lucky we are.

If Microsoft supported its existing productive platforms without trying to be Apple or reinvent the wheel, and work on security issues their stock price may get back over $20 again.
