I'm glad that I wait for a product to prove itself.
There people out there that 'Just Gotta Have The Latest and Greatest.'
I'll wait till Windows 7 finally make it's release and again, wait and see how many of you 'Just Gotta Haves' crash before I even consider buying it.

The problems are that I cannot make Vista do what I want it to do. I suspect that Windows 7 will be the same. Plus you will have to download and install some programs that will no longer come with Windows 7. Like an email client for one thing.
Yes, that is part of the problem I had. Getting older programs to run. But as an operating system, I have had no problems.
I have not seen details that say older programs will run on WIN7 when they WON'T run on Vista. I have seen glowing reports that it is snappier - whatever that might mean in actual usage.
I don't like the fact that I will have to download and install programs that were standard on Windows and now will be optional. They will be free from MS but it leaves the labor portion up to me.
Microsoft President Bill Gates was at a conference last month and released a swarm of mosquitos to demonstrate the spread of malaria and how lucky we are.
If Microsoft supported its existing productive platforms without trying to be Apple or reinvent the wheel, and work on security issues their stock price may get back over $20 again.
