St. Louis Photographer's Intuition Develops Into Lottery Win

Story PhotoKevin Duke, a freelance photographer from St. Louis, didn’t picturehimself as a Lottery winner.  In fact, he had never purchased a lotteryticket before.  But Duke, 47, had a feeling that July 22 was the righttime.

“My wife was out of town visiting family and I decided to take a walkto the gas station and buy a lottery ticket,” explained Duke.  “I justhad this feeling that I should buy a Powerball ticket.”

Duke’s intuition earned him $10,000 by matching four white-numberedballs and the Powerball on the July 22 drawing.  He’s keeping it asecret until his wife, Anna, returns home.

“She flies back from England later this week so I think I’ll tell her at the airport,” said Duke.
