each word has a letter that repeats. 2 N's in banana, 2 ss in dresser and so on.

The second and last letter are the same.
I did not peek either.

Take each letter from the beginning of the word and put it in the rear of the word now spell it backward.
i confess i peeked - didn't figure it out on my own.
