Yes, it reminds me of when the liberal nuts spit on the vietnam vets returning from the war. Spitting on people is disgusting in general, and hopefully you would have such harsh words to say about *everyone* doing it, not just the people this weekend.

Also, I don't think the color of the president's skin has anything to do with the vast majority of people's anger. In fact, most polls show that the anger with the congress is far more than the anger with obama. Since the majority of congress is white, and the two leaders of congress are both white, I can't see any possible connnection to race.

Yes, there are still racists out there. There are black racists and white racists. There always will be. But it is ridiculous to label every criticism of Obama as "racist". Louise, if you ever said a cross word about George Bush, does that make you racist?

Really, please think about that. If people cannot criticize the president without being labeled a racist, then the country will have a leader who is a tirant, because like a tirant they are punished for speaking out. It will be just like Cuba or China, where people cannot criticize the leaders without fear of punishment. I don't think any of us want that.

When someone you like and admire gets criticized by others, it hurts. Especially if you feel the person is a role model. I will tell you a little secret: I personally admired George Bush for many things he did, including his ability to lead the country through one of its most difficult times ever (9/11), and for continuing to lead us with strength around the world, despite constant, stinging attacks from the media and politicians. I know he was a good person. So do you think I am immune to the daily attacks that people here and around the internet posted? Should I label attacks on George Bush as "racist"?

I would never issue should a broad and unfounded statement about "racism", because in this country people are allowed -- even encouraged -- to voice their criticisms of the leaders as loudly and passionately as they wish. That is "American". Just like when during the Iraq war, liberals in congress said "It is patriotic to oppose the war". It is likewise "patriotic" to oppose the president, congress, or anything else.

I agree ,anyone spitting on any person no matter what race is nasty and ugly. In my state of Michigan you will go to jail plus pay a fine. But I would never spit on anyone.I have too much respect for myself and mankind than to inflict that kind of vile disrespect. Also I never said horrible things about George Bush. I definitely disagree with him.But I never insight a civil unrest on the principle, I have a better way of making laws than the side in power. But ,well as you know some people did think he was a racist. But there was a lot our Presidents questionable. As I admire President Obama he 's a good man I wish we had more like him. He's being disrespected more than the average fellow who held this office.

Good job, Todd, explaining the the racist thing. I agree totally with what you wrote.

Now for "these hateful people giving their hateful speeches". Tell me, Louise, what makes these people hateful? What makes their speeches hateful? Why did you call them hateful? Is not your use of the word also making you hateful?

There are some of us who feel no government on any level should have the power to tell us what to do, what to wear, when to wear it, what to say, or when to say it. That is all changing today because of the Communists the majority elected. Yet had these same Communists campaigned on the truth, campaigned on just what they think should be done, they would still be community organizers in the slums of Chicago.    I feel betrayed by our elected leaders for they did not follow the principles upon which they campaigned. They lied and they are still lying. The only difference between the Republicans and the Communists is the Republicans are Socialist Lite while the Communists are Socialists On Steroids.

Now let's look at that spitting thing. There is video with audio on the Internet showing this Representative of whom you speak, walking out of the building and to his car. Try as anyone might, no instance of spitting can be seen and no sound even coming close to the N-word can be distinguished. Now you tell me who the racist is.

Louise, you have every right to post in your blog what you wish even if doing so exposes your principles and how you think. I just have one question which I am sure you will consider "hateful". What color is the sky in your world?

Well, meter man it's apparent that you are one of those people, who are up in arms and armed I can talk to Todd and not fear for the safety of my life on line , But you on the other hand sound like one of those craze people with hateful signs and guns. As to the hateful people at these tea party meeting like you calling people." Communists " and trying to belittle the President (which you can't) by saying a Chicago slum organizer.Well that not any different than the fields of Iowa or the rural side of Nebraska . While you are trying to paint a dim light of the President. In your unique party there some can't even read. Enough said! I rather not hear from you again.Make me uncomfortable.I suppose your sky is Green.
