When does a coincidence stop being a coincidence?
You see it used a lot as if it were some magical self-supporting, self-proving reason.
Just sprinkle a little coincidence around; it will prove itself without proving anything.
“Oh, that’s just a coincidence.”
“Yeah? Prove it! You’ve made a statement, now prove it.”
Generally you achieve this by asking and answering questions to test the hypothesis.
Because, that’s what a coincidence statement is, it a hypothesis just like any other statement.
It’s usually followed up by some logical long winded swisted tister argument designed to confuse and confound.
However, if you hang in there and listen or read very carefully, you can tell.
You'll catch the little word play, aye.
