Does campaign funds buy elections

Published:

I was just thinking reading todays news about campaign funds each candidate has gotten. If they are going to have campaign reform it should not matter how much each candidate has raised. But. The candidate who raises a lot of cash swamps t v and print media with a lot of ads which influences a lot of people.

My thought is each candidate should have equal time on t v and print ads.

Money buys votes

Am hoping folks are waking up to slick tv ads designed to mesmerize and make the decision for you.

Thanks Konane,
It seems some or many people are influenced in their thinking on what they see and hear by candidates. They do not do enough research of a candidate on their own. Believe to much in what they hear.

Are you saying that the Federal elections should be regulated by a central, controlling authority? That's the only way to ration how many ads each candidate gets and how many posters they can install and how much TV time they can use.

I see nothing but trouble with a set-up such as that.

Going to go socialism go all the way with regulatory control.
