Worked on desk lumber today
Published:
Got out today and setup saw and run a bunch more lumber thru saw into 1 inch boards.
Have about 3 more hours of sawin to do. Did not hit to many nails today. Only about a dozen. LOL. Nails were pretty deep in the board.
Doin a rift cut on the lumber for the table. A rift cut is where the lumber is cut to show the vertical grain on the board after assembly into the desk. The boards have tight growth rings. Have anywhere from 8 to 18 growth rings per inch.
The tighter grained boards will be used where it is most visble on the desk. The boards with fewer growth rings will be used for side and back panels of the desk.
