Is the Blind Trust an option?

Published:

What will you do if you win the 'big one' in Virginia or any other state for that matter?  The blind trust might be an excellent option for jackpot winners.

The way I understand the blind trust is it provides anonymity for the winner.  That is a very simplified explanation.  After all, who would want everyone in the universe asking for a piece of your lottery pie?

I am waiting for a reply from the Virginia state Delegate who can answer the question, "Does Virginia allow the blind trust option, and if not, then why not?"  A Google search did not produce any concrete answers; so it was time to ask a Delegate.

As soon as I hear something I will post it here in my blog.  Please post any information you might have about states other than Virginia concerning the blind trust for lottery winners.
