I hardly ever play the jackpot games because of their crazy odds, but on the 26th my roomate called me and asked if I could pick him up two tickets for the Florida Lotto. It was $40 million.

In addition to the 2 QPs I bought, I also got one for myself. Wouldn't you know that I hit 4 out of 6 for $85.50.

The cruel part is that the two numbers I missed were only one digit apart.

The winning numbers: 17-33-34-46-49-52

My ticket was:             17-32-34-46-49-53    What a b##ch!!!!!!    33-52.

I could almost smell the green landslide. Raining bills from the sky.

Strange thing though, that morning, before I bought the tickets, I couldn't sleep, and decided to watch the sunrise. I asked God to show me a sign,which showed he was really in control of the chaos in my world, and asked for a bird to land on a particular power line. Maybe 5 or 6 minutes later a bird did land, but on an adjacent wire. The kicker was that I could hardly see it because it was still kind of dark out, and the trees in the backround didn't make the bird stand out too much, so I wasn't sure if it was just a leaf or something.

When the bird finally left, I saw it and I was reassured that it was a bird and not a leaf.

In hindsight, there was a supernatural feeling of peace that morning, which was reinforced by what happened that night when the drawing took place.

By the way I just checked my ticket about a half hour ago. I was down to my last $50.00, because of paying back rent. So this truly helped me out.

So the point of this whole thing is not knowing whether I should cry for being so close or be happy cause I won what I needed, not what I wanted. HMMMMM!!! Cruel Joke???....I don't know.......
