Those sound were nerve wrecking. I hope I never hear neither one of them. Especially the second one.

Hideously, sickening sound. I've been hearing them in dreams more often.

The second sound is our tornado warning alert. We hear it every Tue. at 10 am when they test the system. People will look up at a clear blue sky and ignore the alert thinking it's a test. When you have multiple communities in close proximity blaring these horns, it's a cacophony and would make it difficult to differentiate between the two horn sounds.

Actually, the tests are intended to get people complacent or desensitized to the sounds.

It's to increase the death count when the real emergency happens.
