We had a pension with IBM, but after our part of the business was sold off, we decided to liquidate Our IBM Pension last year.

We were 100% vested, only getting interest credits and we had an opportunity to reinvest it in property.

Yep, we pay the 10% penalty, but at this point based on what we now know, we are far better off than having them raid our pension and have it all gone.
