We still have a two or more party political system. But that may change if voting in 2012 does not go right. Will be a win or lose deal in 12.

It is just a matter of what cause you support.

Now we come to the tea party in congress.
They are definately afraid of the tea party caucus. The democrats like to attack them.  Obama, Reed, Pelosi, Durbin and many others attack the tea party.

The republicans are a bit hesitant to use the tea party to its full advantage. The republicans best be thankfull that the tea party does not support many democrat candidates. Otherwise it would be all over for the republicans. Sharon Angle and Christine O'Donnell were thrown under the bus as far as I am concerned.
