an excerpt:
- Minor v. Happersett (1875) - to directly construe Article 2 Section 1's natural-born citizen clause in determining a citizenship issue as part of its holding and precedent.  In this unanimous decision, the Supreme Court defined a "native or natural-born citizen" as a person born in the US to parents who were citizens; a definition which excludes from eligibility both Barack Obama and John McCain.

During the 2008 campaign, both Obama and McCain missed filing deadlines to be included on the Texas ballot, per the Texas gov't website. After the deadline passed, their status was "updated" to eligible, and the rest went down the memory hole.
The two-headed gangster does what it wants, pesky things like "rules" just apply to you.

This natural born stuff is getting ridiculous now you have to have 2 citizen parents?? If it didn't take on the average 5-6 years to gain citizenship maybe, if you are born here to legally "here" parents you should be naturally born, now if your parents just come here to birth you and then leave that is another story. If mom and dad are illegal then?????????????   I mean seriously the original colonies had no "citizens", therefore everybody born after is technically illegal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After posting my blog entry I looked up the actual case to read the decision and remembered reading about who became citizens when the United States was originaly established.

Whoever, then, was one of the people of either of these States when the Constitution of the United States was adopted, became ipso facto a citizen -- a member of the nation created by its adoption. He was one of the persons associating together to form the nation, and was, consequently, one of its original citizens.

Your welcome TigerAngel.
While I was looking up this case I came across other articles on the web where it was discussed about the deletion of mention of the Minor v. Happersett (1875. The discussion has been out there awhile but I have not seen it prior to this. With so many sites on the web it would be easy to miss.
