Put a favicon on my Web page.

Published:

I have a web page that I made quite some time ago, but almost never use anymore so far, yesterday I wanted to learn how to put a little picture on the left side of the address bar just as the Lottery Post and many other Web pages have, I tried a few things, but they would not work, then I found a way that does work for my site, Earthlink would not allow an .ico file on the root directory of my Web page no matter what I tried to do, but there was a way that did work and didn't need to have the favicon in the root directory, it uses a .png file instead of the .ico.

I don't know about other browsers, but it works with Firefox 9.0.1

Next sometime maybe soon might be hot linking videos from You Tube

Earthlink only gives me 10 Mb of space, so I can't try too many things there.

Look at the favicon to the left of the address bar, I made it online at a Web page that lets you make .icons then using Irfanview I made it into a .png image file:

Now that I am Laterne the Lottery Post won't allow me to post links so get the link to the site from here:

It is a lantern, there is only so much that you can do in such a small space.
