Congress should decide the fate of a nation.
State legislators should decide the fate of a state.

If this area in Calif was in another country having the need for water to supply food products I reckon the federal gov't would be doing what it could to get water to the area if water was available.
That is what Gadaffi did in Libya. Got water for agricultural crops.

With all the water in the great lakes and other large capacity river water flow why are they not buiding a huge infrastrucure of water transport to areas needed.
Build oil pipelines they could build water pipelines.
OHH I forgot. That would be too easy.

When the day comes and there are votes to be found, fresh water will no longer be a problem.
Right now, there must be reasons why our elected leaders are turning their backs on the areas that need water for irrigation. If we knew what those reasons were, we would be voting in new people.
