But gradually the medical profession has been forced to give up this approach for what I like to call a “veterinary ethic,” one that places the interests of the payer (or owner) ahead of the patient

Liberals voters have been taken down to the status of cattle now so an education is not needed as your needs are supplied thru free stuff. Just need to know how to grunt and pull the voting lever. They will assign you menial tasks from time to time to break your boredom. You are all under socialist rule now so no worries on your part are needed.
When you become ill they will have a doctor with veterinary ethics check you out to see if you are any value to society anymore.
And then they can tell us how we have to live, cuz afterall, they're providing our healthcare.
The ultimate vicious circle.
Some people think Bloomberg telling them that they can't eat salt in NYC is funny. That's nothing compared to what democrats in high places have planned for us.
Wait...
The government will, by rule or regulation, tell the hospital and doctor what treatment they can provide their patient but if the treatment doesn't work, then the medical staff must do it again for free. Really!?
If this is allowed to stand, you can kiss the medical profession good-by. All that will be left will be Granny Clampett.
