I would like someone clear up the facts of the student loan thing here for me.
7.4 million students when the loans were targeted to undergraduates.

The undergaduate student loan window was, is
first disbursement date between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012:
Was there 7.4 million undergraduate loans given in that time frame?

I think that number would include people with new loans, and also those who already had loans active.

A bit confusing when a news story does not give full facts on where they come up with 7.4 million.
Looking at the loan window on the 3.4% I would think that rate would only apply for that loan given at that time.

You mean like "fairness"? ;-)

The government shouldn't be in the student loan business to begin with.

Thanks t*t for responding.
I looked over the gov't site for info on interest rate fluctuation from year to year. Could not find much except the year to year interest rate at time of application for undergraduate loans.

I agree with that sully.
