Wow your question has caused me to read more about randomness and the different tests that are used to verify if a list is random, than I believe I have ever read.

Thank you for that. (now I need more coffee) But is your list truly random? I am not intelligent enough to answer that, but smart enough to realize it and do more reading for the fun of learning.

Well, we're working on some different InLine computations and values for our Daily Pick 3 program.

We have a few that show different ways of looking at the Pick 3 numbers.

This is one of those ways.

What you see above are the Absolute Difference between the numbers.

If A B C are the numbers in order, then the Absolute Differences are |A - B| |A - C| |B - C| and that's what you are seeing.

They are from my state's Daily Pick 3, Minnesota.

The recent draw of 3 7 7 becomes the Absolute Difference of |3 - 7| |3 - 7| |7 - 7| = |-4| |-4| |0| = 4 4 0.

There a lot more of these InLine Comps that we are putting in the Daily Pick 3 analyzer.

jade, is this the same as horizontal differences?
