The costs of hospital stays are cheaper in Europe than here. That I will give you but there is a trade-off. Recently the Daily Mail had an article in which a man lay on the pavement for 4 hours before an ambulance arrived.   So his hospital stay was cheaper because their medical profession hoped he would die before being treated.
