excerpt:

Madalyn Murray-O'Hair was at one time the most hated woman in America. She sued the Baltimore school district in an attempt to subtract the word "God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. Her case, Murray v. Curlet reached the U.S. Supreme Court in 1963, leading to a landmark legal victory: the abolition of prayer, Bible readings, and all religious references from the American public school system.

excerpt:
Throughout her life, O'Hair worked tirelessly to obliterate the concept of God and everything pertaining to Christianity.

The attack still continues on religion and God in this country.

I remember in high school when we couldn't sing the Christmas songs in Chorus that had Christ because we had lots of other religions present and could only sing the carols.

But in elementary school, we started the day with the Pledge of Allegiance and a required Bible verse and I always said John 3:16 unless it was one of those too colds days and I'll just say the shortest one "Jesus Wept"

I never thought about how it was for my kids because they were in Church twice a week.

I live in the "Bible Belt". There's a church on every corner. no kidding. Sometimes two. And you would think that it would be less drugs, less poverty, less crime, etc. but it's not or maybe it would be more.

Maybe we have so many criminals because they got lost, they need to find Jesus and bring him into their hearts.
What gets me about the Jews, Muslims, and who ever else who dis-agrees with the Christian Faith, if they own jewelry stores or businesses, these same people who want God out of our schools, have no problem capitalizing on our holidays, Santa clause and baby Jesus everywhere when the want sales at Christmas.
