I am working on figuring out the lawsuit text compared to what I posted here.
But found UOCAVA text regarding equal opportunity.
If Ohio offers those 3 days to military then non military should have the same opportunity in my opinion
Lawsuit text
After the enactment of these laws, voters using the Uniformed
and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voter Act (“UOCAVAâ€) may vote early in-person
at a board of elections office up through the Monday before Election Day, while
non-UOCAVA voters can vote early in-person at a board of elections office (or
designated alternate site) only up until 6 p.m. on the Friday before Election Day.
UOCAVA text
SENSE OF CONGRESS REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING
"(C) all eligible American voters, regardless of race,
ethnicity, disability, the language they speak, or the
resources of the community in which they live, should have an
equal opportunity to cast a vote and to have that vote counted.
Look like something that the state of Ohio allowed for military voters.
I see 2 ways for the state to correct the 3 day prior voting issue to stay within equal opportunity law.
1) change their legislation to allow non military voters to use the 3 day prior voting.
2) Change their legislation to not allow military to vote during the 3 day prior rule.
This UOCAVA voting only discusses absentee paper ballots only as I see it.
