I can only hope the Republicans destroy the unions. All that unions have stood for, fought for, and died for is now encoded in law. Their basis for existing is now gone.

So why are they still around? All they do is demand higher pay and more benefits. Most companies capitulate and give them what they demand.

We are now seeing the results of union demands and company accomodations. This course is unsustainable. At some point in time there must come a halt. Today is that point in time.

Labor unions should change their focus. They need to work with companies to keep their plants and jobs in America. I am sure that if union leaders and company CEO's were to sit down and discuss their issues, a way would be found which would benefit both unions and companies and, hence, American jobs. Until then, look for manufacturing to move to more business friendly nations with fewer regulations.
