Today bobbya posted something that I can agree with 100%.  Why did he lock his blog?  He would have enjoyed the support he would have gotten.

Why do Republicans want to privatize social security?  So the democrats can't raid funds the workers and their employers sent to SS.  Why do the democrats want to keep SS in the hands of the government?  So they (democrats) will have money to buy more votes.

If all my SS payments were kept in a mutual fund, I would have retired a well-off man.  As things now stand, I get just enough to keep me alive provided I use electricity only three days a week, eat every other day, walk across town to buy food, and never cool the house.  Thanks, democrats.

Gee and to think A Republican wanted to do that.
Would have been the smart thing to do, but then again the democrats don't think anything out, they just steal and then take credit if it works, if it doesn't work they blame the Republicans, mainly Mr. Bush.

GASMETERGUY thinks that he will be allowed to choose where his money goes by A Corporate and Wall Street Owned GOP!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
The fees they would charge for managing his money would probably take up half of it and the other half they would lose with their ENRON style bad investments.

If your SS payments were kept in your own pocket, you'd have had the potential to be even better off. At any rate, it doesn't matter as there's nothing in the SS "fund" besides "non marketable securities".

Bobbya, your first comment proves how ignorant you are of how retirement funds are dispersed among the various mutual funds. You pick the mutaul fund you want; not Wall Street or Corporations. Your money is spread all over the stock market and not in only one stock.

As for "fees", your contribution would be so miniscule you could pay the entire amount from one of your food stamp coupons or charge in on your EBT card.

And, yes, only democrats have raided the SS fund. Only democrats run to the SS fund when they think of another give-a-way program. You can easily prove me wrong by linking to a story in which a Republican, any Republican, sponsors a give-a-way program funded by SS money.

I will be waiting but I won't be holding my breath. You seem to be awful short on proof and long on hot air.

I did enjoy your latest blog entry. Too bad you locked out everybody. Why are you locking out all commenst? Getting sick of being told the truth?
