January 24, 2015, 11:40 amUh oh, Rush seems to have done it
Thursday Rush spent almost his entire show on the events of a deflated football. While I found the first few minutes enlightening I soon became bored and decided to watch paint dry.
Friday, he spent the first hour about things that matter to me. The next two hours he returned to that deflated football. I turned off the radio and 1:45pm and drove to Waffle House.
But during that one hour and 45 minutes he said something rather contradictory. He chided the three major networks for leading off with the Tom Brady interview. There were other, more important issues to discuss he declared. If that were the case, why did Rush spend two hours Thursday and almost two hours Friday discussing the very same issue? It must have been important for Rush to pontificate for 4 hours on the subject while the major networks might have spent a whole 60 seconds.
I feel Rush is looking forward to retirement rather than his next broadcast.
January 17, 2015, 8:18 amThank You
Thank You, Lord.
Thank You for my wife
Thank You for my life.
Thank You for my two wonderful children
In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray.
December 15, 2014, 9:32 amRevisiting my 11/05/14 blog
Well I see Benedict Boehner proved me right. With an incoming Republican majority about to change somewhat the agenda of a liberal Congress, Benedict Boehner gathered his democrat friends together and funded the government until September, 2015. All that the democrats wanted, they got. A few things the Republicans wanted, they got but not without deep criticism from democrats.
November 27, 2014, 11:42 amThe correct odds
Found on Redditt.
"The lottery is not a tax on people who can't do math. The people who buy lottery tickets understand the odds of them wining millions are far better than the odds of them earning millions."
November 20, 2014, 3:53 pmObama's speech tonight
Should I take up a wait and see attitude or should I call upon past experiences regarding Obama's speech tonight? I think I will call upon past experiences.
Obama is about to throw the Constitution under the bus. He will not only ignore current law but make a few new ones, all on his own. Congress is being bypassed entirely. What really concerns me is the fact no one will make an attempt to stop him. Any Republican member of Congress can go to court and ask for an injunction against the implementation of any Executive Order. I believe the court would issue such an injunction. Does anyone think the Republicans will do this? Not on your life.
As I have said many times and will continue to believe, RINO's are card carrying democrats. Their mission in life is to get elected as Republicans and then provide cover for democrats when democrats are not in the majority.
November 19, 2014, 11:20 amLilspeedy today
Lilspeedy has a very excellent post in her blog today. I agree with the points made in this article . If she had not blocked me, I would have responded very favorly. So if you do not regularly read what she posts, put your preferences aside and go to her blog. You might be happy you did.
November 8, 2014, 1:21 pmThat didn't take long
Well, that didn't take long. Seems our Senator Corker has declared that our immigration laws need to be reformed to fit the liberal agenda. Never mind that the voters overwhelmingly voted against those who favored the liberal agenda of open borders, mass immigration by anyone and everyone, and free benefits for those who cross the border successfully, Corker is siding with the democrats. He thinks our immigration laws are broken, in need of serious repair.
The only thing broken within our current laws are the broken politicians who refuse to enforced the laws currently on the books.
I am sure Alexander feels the say way seeing that he voted for the bill to grant amnesty to illegals as presented by Harry Reid. Corker and Alexander, two of the many RINO's who need to go. In the interest of full disclosure, I did not vote for Alexander.
Should Corker gain nomination for re-election, I will not be voting in that race once again.
November 5, 2014, 10:16 am2014 Election Results: My thoughts
The election is finally over. Thank you Father Time.
As I perused the results, looking for those close races in which democrats won, I was very much pleased to see that most of the offices were won by a wide margin. There were only a few in which the gap between the candidates was +/- 0.05%. Of course we still have one or two run-off elections ahead which will not alter the fact Republicans are in control of Congress.
Yeah! Right! As if that means something. Republicans may in the majority in both Houses of Congress but would that change anything? After all, we do have RINO's walking around, pretending to be for small government, lower taxes, and all that other B.S. Naturally they vote for the democrat agenda. Boehner, McCain, Alexander, Corker, McConnell, et ex, reach across the aisle every change they get. After the minority get their way, the RINO's step up to the microphone and say, "It's the best we could get".
I disagree. "Nothing" would be a better choice than caving to the minority's agenda. We will see what transpires over the next two years. I am not hopeful.
My voting philosophy over the last two decades has been one of cynicism. If I wanted a lying, two faced, back-stabbing, quisling as my Senator, I would vote democrat.

April 5, 2014, 10:05 amneed your opinion
There comes a time in everyone's life when a honest opinion is not only wanted but required. I am currently in such a time.
Below is a web address. I would appreciate any member to go to this site, listen to the video (about three minutes) and tell me what you think.
Critized not only the photography, but the voiceover as well.
I thank you in advance.
February 23, 2014, 8:30 amLove is eternal
On February 21, 2014, my wife of 48 years passed away. After being admitted into the ER on February 14, she died peacefully at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
When events proved that the hospital could do nothing more for her, she requested all treatment cease and that she be transferred to Alive Hospice. During the three days at Hospice, one of my daughters or I stood vigil by her bed. Her oldest daughter was present when she took her last breath.
During this whole ordeal, I prayed. I prayed hard. I said,
Dear G-d Almighty
Show me a miracle. Show me your power. Show me the power of Jesus Christ. Show me the power of all the Heavenly Hosts. Bring her back to me and her family. Show me a miracle. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray.
Such was not to be.
G-d had other plans.
One night, which turned out to be my last night with her, as I struggled toward her room, I made this same prayer again. Then G-d spoke to me. He told me He has shown me a miracle. The woman who was my wife for 48 wonderful, happy, years was my miracle. Peace and tranquility came over me.
She was a very understanding woman. She let me be me. She never critized or condemned what I said or did. She was truthful to a fault. No lie ever passed her lips. She was a loving woman, grateful for all that she had and never envious of what others might have.
Her funeral is tomorrow in West Tennessee. I pray that G-d gives me the strength to say these very same words at her grave.
January 18, 2014, 12:07 amLilSpeedy did it again
LilSpeedy did it again. Today he posted an argument with which I can not disagree. That's the way democrats think and act. Way to go, LilSpeedy. You did good.

LilSpeedy's has me blocked so I must comment here. What she has to say today is one with which I can agree.
November 17, 2013, 12:16 pmWhat I am
If you are an optimist, you will be disappointed most of the time.
If you are a pessimist, you will be happily surprised most of the time.
I am a pessimist. Hence, I am happy most of the time.
August 7, 2013, 8:23 pmOshkosh
Went to Oshkosh, WI, last week. There is a fly-in sponsored by the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association).
While I am not a pilot, I have always wished to become one and own my own plane. Life had other plans for me. Oddly enought Obama has the same plans.
I went to see the home builts, the War Birds, and the ultra-lites. China brought their battery powered ultra-lite and that I had to see. I wanted to see the size of the battery. But life had other plans and I never saw the one craft I traveled to see.
The trip was so enjoyable I might take the wife next year. I sure hope she and my girlfriend get along.
