I think it was a setup for Ryan to get booed.

No surprise there, AARP is solidly in the tank for Obama and most Conservatives have cancelled their memberships long ago and gone elsewhere because of it.
Plus they probably stacked the audience with AARP employees and government payroll hogs and union thugs in an attempt to embarrass Ryan.
A really sleazy outfit.
