Why I do not join social networks

Just read an article about the screw up on the brothers in the Conn shooting on which one it was. Social networks suck when you put out personal information.

A lot of these comment sections at different locations want you to go thru facebook to comment. Screw that.

Go on a social network you put your info out there for the world to see. Fuk that <snip>.

I'm with you! F-Book and a few other big names are trying to take over the internet I've never once been to F-book, i don't tweet, i never g00gle anything or click on any of the zillion and one ads they force upon me and i rarely post to blogs!

I terminated my FB account about two weeks ago. It should be totally erased in two days according to the message I got. I don't need my life story out for everyone to see.

I never understood the desire to put all your business out there for every nut and wacko in the world to peruse in the first place.
I treasure my privacy and defend it. I know enough people and have enough friends and I don't like listening to any more yapping than absolutely necessary.
