21 dollars back from federal, owe 15 to Michigan,
All the overtime my husband worked for, they kept every penny of the money they took out of his check.
They raised the allowable deductions so high, that even with property taxes on 2 houses and mortgage interest on this house wasn't enough to itemize.

I should mention, the mortgage intesest is from a home improvement loan, and thats not much, so we are screwed.

yikes! big ouch there sully. we havent started on our taxes yet, but have been warned that we will be paying significantly more (percentage wise) this year than we did last year. i really enjoy getting zero dollars back and paying the same... i dont like giving the government that interest free loan by them having my money and me getting back in refund.

I did half and half year on my exemptions going from 0 and then changing to 1. But I did 8 months of 0 instead of six. I didn't do bad on federal refund. State I got to pay $232. brrrrrrrrr. State was down and dirty this year. I don't care if they get rid of state tax.

I have also been hearing winter heating bill horror stories, lots of people getting rid of things like premium cable and all the extra's at the grocery store, clip those coupons, it helps.
