I tell ya, my life sure isn't boring.
Published:
Had to travel to Des Moines last week and was there this weekend for an upgrade for one of our accounts.
Everything is going well until I got a call from Ann early Sunday morning.
She says we got about 4" of water in the basement, the sumps stop working last night because the power went out and the are not coming back on.
I told her she'll just have to wait till I get back there later that afternoon to look at it.
Looks like when the power went out, the water rose in the basement enough to put an extension core under water.
Well, it was plugged in an outlet that is on the same line as the sumps.
That line is controlled by a GFI circuit protector, it was tripped when the power came back on because the extension cord was plugged in and under water.
Good thing is, most of everything in the basement is in large plastic boxes or up off the floor on racks.
Also, I'm off on vacation / holiday this week.
