Join the club. A few years ago I got a letter saying that since they are going to have to cover pre -exsisting conditions under the new healthcare law that my premiums had just gone up. In fact they went up to 2 and 1/2 times per month what I was previously paying. These premiums are being paid today. I was told I could keep my coverage if I liked it. I want to keep my coverage but I got a letter last Friday that said the government did not approve of the policy that I like and want to keep so because the government does not like my policy I cant keep it.

The letter suggested a new policy which I went down to the insurance office today to read and of course the fine print screws me! After more than doubling my premiums 3 years ago they want to charge me $742 per month extra on top of the premiums to actually use the new policy.

Btw my current policy does NOT cover optical and it does NOT cover dental and it does NOT cover prescriptions and it does NOT cover durable medical equipment and it does NOT cover consultations with specialists. There are many things that my current policy does NOT cover but it DOES cover doctors visits at 50% and it does cover the Hospital at 100% if I ever have to go there. To me this is what insurance is about. NOT to cover some cheap f*cking knee brace or generic drugs...btw the drugs will cost me 3 and 1/2 more than I am paying now by having to buy them under the new policy and I will have to buy them under the policy if I want them to apply to the annual policy limits!

I want to Keep the f*cking coverage that I have now but the government wont allow it.
