A single player has won the $9.25 million jackpot from the Illinois State Lottery's weekend Lotto game.
The only ticket to match all six winning numbers from Saturday night's Lotto drawing was sold at a service station in the Chicago suburb of Berwyn.
The next Lotto drawing jackpot will be $2 million.
In addition to the grand prize winner, 35 players matched five of the six winning numbers from Saturday's drawing, and will receive second prizes of $973 apiece.
Another 1,836 players matched four of the six numbers drawn, good for third prizes of $33.50 apiece.
The winning numbers drawn were: 9, 11, 29, 37, 38 and 39.
I do not buy my tickets in Berwyn.
I also did not purchase any tix in Berwyn my friendt! Of course, I did and have purchased tickets in every single town, city, and village north of Berwyn for every draw for the last 15 straight years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I've walked away with 4/6 numbers many times... Bu neva the BIG ONE !!

Doesn't Illinois Lotto have a 3/6 prize? If so why wasn't there a mention of how many 3/6 winners?
CASH - there WAS a list of 3/6 winners, but Illinois Lottery discontinued it...
Last nite's draw (Mon. 9/26) there were 17,902 "players" that matched 3/6 for $3.

If there is a 3/6 prize, the Illinois Lottery needs to reinforce that fact. People who read the press releases might think you need 4/6 to win.
However, they have it posted on www.illinoislottery.com, so they probably figure that's good enough....

I will be passing through Illinois twice in October. I however have no plans to play there.
I don't blame ya one bit CASH... The ONLY good game in Illinois WAS the old-style Little Lotto... Before they added another nine balls to it...

IIRC Little Lotto replaced a 7-number annuity-only game in the late 1980s. Funny how NY's pick-5 has not changed except for the frequency of draws in its 13+ years.
