Even though the grand prize was not hit after the Wednesday evening drawing, Powerball generated some big winners.
Four tickets sold in the Wednesday drawing won $200,000 by matching the first 5 white ball numbers: 2 in Minnesota, 1 in Missouri, and 1 in Oregon.
The jackpot for the Saturday, September 6th Powerball drawing is an estimated $92 million with a cash option of $46.3 million.
The numbers drawn Wednesday evening were 38, 40, 46, 49, 50, and the Powerball was 34.
The Power Play multiplier was 2.
22 tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball, for a cash prize of $10,000. 6 additional tickets of that prize level were purchased with the Power Play option and had the prize multiplied by 2 for a $20,000 cash win.
A total of 420,591 tickets across the nation won more than $3.3 million in prizes playing "America's game".
Out of those, 78,607 tickets multiplied their prize by 2 Wednesday. Players were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for and additional $1.
With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier.
Players purchased $20,225,399 in Powerball and Power Play tickets between Sunday and Wednesday night.
Powerball drawing results are published within minutes of the drawing Wednesday and Saturday nights at USA Mega (www.usamega.com), as well as on each individual state lottery results page at Lottery Post (www.lotterypost.com/results).
