but who would have thought winning $52k would bring a beating! i dopubt i would think or carew to go through trouble of getting TRUST TO CLAIM $52K

Ohio and California chose not to sponsor crime, maybe there will be more on the list. Of course a multi-million winner can afford to change the name and hit the road, but $52 000 windfall is a perfect target.

Oh my goodness, how sad!! In today's economy, people are so desperate, it's not surprising that this happened.
I agree with everyone. Why can't lottery winners remain anonymous for their protection? It's scary!!
