The jackpot for Friday night's multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw now stands at $151 million, the largest since January 4th, when a $380 million mega-jackpot was split by two winning tickets from Idaho and Washington.
The lump-sum cash payout of Friday's jackpot is $94.3 Million, if the winner decides to take the whole thing at once.
The lottery drawing, set for 11 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, will be the 11th since the last time a ticket was sold that matched all six numbers drawn.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536.
Mathematicians have long said there is no advantage to purchasing a ticket in a state or at an outlet where previous big-money winning tickets have been sold. The odds of a big-money winning ticket sold in a particular state or outlet is wholly dependent on the number of tickets sold there. Each individual ticket has the exactly same odds of winning the jackpot, no matter where it is purchased.
The Mega Millions game is played in 41 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The winning numbers will be published at USA Mega (www.usamega.com) minutes after the drawing takes place.

Is it just me or does anyone else get a little more excited when they find out nobody has won the jackpot? LOL
I usually buy my tickets at a grocery store or mini mart instead of gas station, because that's where jackpot hit the most.
Me lol as long as I don't take the jackpot, I hope no one does so it can keep growing.

It would be nice if states allowed people to buy tickets by mail from out of state.
I dont understand why somebody in another country cannot buy
a whole years Megamillions tickets but can buy shoes or bet on horse racing in Dubai.

keep your eye on 2nd prize winners, if their more then 23, aka 46 total mega balls, that means it has started to sur pass the 50% of all numbers played,
as people buy repeats sells numbers only part of the total numbers played can be guested at.
, or if the jackpot has 5 or more numbers below 31, at which point ever single player that plays calader days, where beeped at it being hit must likly being hit on that roll
for the chances in the players overall favor to win the jackpot, the sells will need to be in 200m range jackpots
the fact is, even at this level your not selling over 50% of ever single number that COULD come up, so the jackpot can Keep rolling, once we have a lot of 2nd prike winners, then we can tell For sure, players are starting to have a chance

Looking at your post made me go back to what happened in Dec 2010/Jan 2011 and how fast the jackpot grew.....
Once the jackpot reached $168M on Dec 24, 2010 it took off from there.........it just might happen that fast again!
For the record, here was the run:

Monday, Dec 27, 2010 Jackpot = $196M
Tuesday, Dec 28, 2010 Jackpot = $200M (increased)

Thursday, Dec 30, 2010 Jackpot = $242M (increased)

It would be fun to see it keep rolling.....
What if it grows past the previous large jackpot say 400 Million the person that won that or people that won would have to move to Peru or Japan or somewhere eles but America becuase they would be a household name!
But when i win i will form a trust because i want to live a life of peace and comfort!!!
