this is what i mean.

you guys just play underhanded games for the sole purpose of discrediting someone,  and serve it up with kum by ya flavoring

stack straight up lied about me,  and has lied about me numerous times,  and yet you said nothing  to him about it.

why,  because you favor stack's position over mine,  and your one of those people that pick "people" over the truth.

i see,  observing someone lying IS ok,  so long as it's in line with your beliefs.

but saying something,  when someone called someone else a "liar" is acceptable.

your fading in and out of good cop, bad cop .....and you need to make up your mind

"I'd have to bring up some undesireable comments about you in order to answer any questions about another member".

that's a garbage cop out,  and you know it.

you chose to skip right past doing the right thing

you don't have the guts to address the fact that stack purposefully lied about me.

not only lied about me,  but my family.

how do you people live with yourselves anyway ?

make up your mind about who you are for once

"you don't have the guts to address the fact that stack purposefully lied about me."

"you chose to skip right past doing the right thing"

The Right Thing.

Just what is the "right" thing.  To me the right thing was to not give you my opinion of stuff posted by Stack.  At a different time, like in another thread, the right thing to do would have been to tell you.  This thread will never be settled and there is no sense adding a lot more extraneous stuff to it.   Do I ask you what you think of ridge calling everyone his two all time favorites: lib or queer/ and also every other smear he posts?  Never have.  My opinion on that is that he helps carry you through this thread where you would be vastly outnumbered.  But I don't think you are hardly like him at all.  And I don't think you agree with his name calling.  Only reason he hasn't called you names is because you are more or less, partners - some time in the future you might not be in agreement.  That "Don't tread on me (with the picture of a rattlesnake)" attitude that he has is his personality.  A rattlesnake don't care if you and he are partners here - one day when you aren't, he'll strike. That is how snakes are.

You make things extremely difficult. You setup things so no one can win. Then you attack (in this case you attack me - based on your judgment of what you want to hear). Had I offered a different answer, you would have attacked that also. I turn right, you say that is wrong. I turn left, you say that is wrong. I stand still, you say that is wrong. No one can win. You won't allow them to win, even when everything they say points to being the right answer. You'll argue with facts only when necessary. Otherwise you argue that people are telling lies.

First off, your opinion about things Stack said and my opinion do not agree.  Therfore to not fan the fires more at this stage of this thread, I refused to give you a blow by blow account of what I think.  I still think THAT was the right thing to do.

We all have cro-Magnum DNA, They have not been able to find anyone with Neanderthal Dna, They have found crossbred remains, but they didn't live very long. The Neaderthals are a different species of human and they were here long before Cro-magnum and Lucy, their origin...France...Lucy is considered modern human.

    Neanderthal genome - our red-headed,

muscle-bound siblings live on within us.

Fascinating discoveries recently shed new light on the Neanderthal – researchers have sequenced the Neanderthal genome – we now know exactly what differs and what is the same between them and modern day humans.  Not surprisingly, there are some major commonalities.  Now we know that Humans and Neanderthals interbred to some degree.  Today, there remains a part of Homo neanderthalensis which lives on in Homo sapiens.

First, gotta admit, "he" sure is animated! ROFL

I think he is right.  I've never posted my religious belief on the net because I feel it is private.  If I was running for public office, then that would be a different story.   Some here have made judgment calls but they are only guessing to serve their own purposes.

But it is not private, Trucritic, or hidden from anyone.  Religious belief or lack of it, is visual and exposed to everyone in everything we do.

A person doesn't need to tell or talk about what they believe in, it shows in their love for other people, common good, what they talk about, how they act, how they handle problems, and how much fear they have in their life.

            It's about love.

well,  it's not like i expected you to own it, because guys like you don't.

in the several threads were you and i have maintained positions,  you the one that came after me first.

all i was doing is what i always do,  giving my unpollitically correct opinion about the subject matter,  and then when guys like you don't like that my opinion challenges yours,  you launch into a personal assault.

but you,  your a different breed,  you do it via the "nice guy" underhanded route

your the one that attempted to get me to shut up in the statistically speaking thread, just because i made anti system remarks, and when i wouldn't,  you started attacking my grammar,  or garbage that has nothing to do with what goes on.

like i noted,  it's an attempt by you to marginalize someone with whom they disagree,  and i won't allow anyone to bully me into intimidation land.      underhanded version or otherwise

you always say something to me,  because your true wish is to turn me into a politically correct version of what you want me to be,  so you can control and filter what i say,  so it becomes your opinion

that won't ever happen,  and so guys like you get "speacail treatment"

like i said,  stack lying purposefully about me is ok,  because well,  it's against me.   but your essence in here is once again highlighted because you refused to call that what it is.

no,  i don't agree with ridge calling people names.   ridge and i agree on most things,  and i like his not take any garbage off of people stand,  but no,  name calling is unnecessary.   even though ridge is fed up with wonderful people like you,  and i understand why he would be,  his name calling is beneath him

so you see,  that's how you pick truth over people

the difference between you and me is when it is wrong, i will call it what it is.

you?    you turn it around in your "innocent act" washing machine,  and hang it on the clothsline for a later date.

you bring this stuff on yourself,  by coming after me,  when there are other people you could have given your "behavioral speech" too first.   shoot,  i would have been satisfied that you play fair in life if you had gone after just one person other than me that favors your position.

now that i think about it,  joker is the nastiest poster at LP.  calls perfectiming a "dumbass".

since your such the "behavioral police",   wwere where you on that one?

full circle lets us know you have never said squat to joker ever about his comments, etc.

so take a hike truecritic.  your agenda is clear.   you could have muted it while you had the chance.

cracks me up though,  your "nice guy" act and all.

i come after people like you to keep you in check,  so that guys like you don't think there is ever going to come a time where you can marginalize a voice like mine.

the difference between a guy like you,  and a guy like me?

there are quite a few people in here with whom i disagree,  do you see me pulling a truecritic move,  and going after them using the exact same tactics you use?    not quite my altruistic actor

i only make sure i give people like you the "special treatment",   when their ego pretends to think they can relegate me into marginalized land

that second paragraph of yours is a perfect example of how underhanded your attempt is.

i set people up to win, because i give them every chance to back up stuff they say.  i am really good at setting that scenario up.   it isn't my fault that when they get that chance,  they can't close their own deal,  so quit your insution flavored lie i "bully people".

i am nice and respectful out of the gate,  but when someone starts to play me,  then i match their effort with my little highlight lamp

you don't get the luxury of "nice visiondude" because you keep playing these cheap underhanded games.

you had that chance when you started acting nice after posting help to me about posting pics.

wasn't long after that,  it was back to your truecritic colors

"First off, your opinion about things Stack said and my opinion do not agree"

yeah,  ain't that the truth,  and now we all know why.    lying is perfectly acceptable,  and totally high fived by you,  so long as the person doing it is in agreement with your position in life.

cut the two faced innocent act.      it's a disgusting display

what ridge said was true,  the minute guys like you beging to lose your grip on that marginalize squeeze job,  they move straight to lying about the person,  and you did that about me in your above post

you put out the welcome mat,  i didn't

                          "i am .........."meant to"

It seems everybody's all upset about my namecalling lately.

Alrighty then, I'll leave it up to committee on this one.

Truecricket says one of my two all time favorite things to call somebody is "Queer".

Now the truth is that I have never once called anybody that name.

So I'll leave it up to committee to decide what to label truecricket for telling that big fat lie.

Afterall, I don't want to call him a liar and be known as a namecaller.

                Not me, that's beneath me...

No way I'll ever do that again...

Nah, on second thought, screw it.

                Truecricket, you're a m-----f---ing LIAR!

                I gotta live with myself.

i set people up to win, because i give them every chance to back up stuff they say.  i am really good at setting that scenario up.   it isn't my fault that when they get that chance,  they can't close their own deal,  so quit your insution flavored lie i "bully people".

i am nice and respectful out of the gate,  but when someone starts to play me,  then i match their effort with my little highlight lamp

you don't get the luxury of "nice visiondude" because you keep playing these cheap underhanded games.

you had that chance when you started acting nice after posting help to me about posting pics.

wasn't long after that,  it was back to your truecritic colors

"First off, your opinion about things Stack said and my opinion do not agree"

yeah,  ain't that the truth,  and now we all know why.    lying is perfectly acceptable,  and totally high fived by you,  so long as the person doing it is in agreement with your position in life.

cut the two faced innocent act.      it's a disgusting display

what ridge said was true,  the minute guys like you beging to lose your grip on that marginalize squeeze job,  they move straight to lying about the person,  and you did that about me in your above post

you put out the welcome mat,  i didn't

If I use the same exact "tactics" that you use, right about now I would call you a liar.  However, I really am not that way.  I think your judgment is bias and that you make up stuff to suit your taste.

                  A) When I offered technical help, that is off the table.  I did that because I do things like that and know many here don't know how.  I have neither bragged about it or brought it up as a talking point for or against you or anyone that may have learned something that day.  Even if ridge learned something that day, it is OK.  That is neutral territory.  I made a joke at the time about one of your images - only a joke.  Yet, some people took that as a chance to post something against me.  I never realized it might be taken the wrong way.  What is not known, I did ask if Todd could take that down once I was aware it might be a problem.  I am glad you brushed it aside.

"your the one that attempted to get me to shut up in the statistically speaking thread, just because i made anti system remarks..."

                  B) There comes a point where the normal person can see that the debate cannot be won.  You seem to think that I am trying to "bully" (to use your word) you.  Sorry, you misinterpret my intent.  I was hoping to bring some common sense to the situation.  I wasn't trying to shut you up.  I also attempted to stop the side I was on as well.  I back off and don't post in hopes that will bring an end to a thread that is excruciating to read.  Or I see no reason to post.   Then when I don't post (I turn right, I turn left, I stand still - they are all wrong in your eyes), you attack me for that as well as when I do post.  You are not recognizing the right thing when it is right in front of your eyes.  You think I have some kind of preplanned tactic to attack you by not posting or by posting or by telling you what I think or ??? - no matter what I say (or others say, as well) you attack it.  The traits you admire in "others" on your side - you do not recognize those same traits in others fighting on the other side.   There appears to be only a handful of people here at Lottery Post that that have that spirit.  A lot of the same people jump into these threads.  They have things to say, they have opinions to express and they jump in.

"you always say something to me,  because your true wish is to turn me into a politically correct version of what you want me to be,  so you can control and filter what i say,  so it becomes your opinion"

                  C)  Not at all.  These battles are not going to be solved.  I can't convince anyone of my opinions - You can't convince anyone of yours.  Why continue to argue?  Why?  What sense does it make?  We are helpless to bomb each other like real wars in real countries - and that is the only way any of us will stop.  But why does it have to come to that.  Everyone has stated their opinions at some point - everyone should just stop the arguing at that point.  Just bow out gracefully.  Or wait until Todd decides to lock the thread.  I'd prefer grownups to stop on their own without Todd's intervention.  If you actually have some other plan, post it, I'd like to hear it.

"you started attacking my grammar,  or garbage that has nothing to do with what goes on."

                  D)  Check back carefully in the QP vs SP thread.  I wasn't the first to bring up your grammar/spelling.  However, while it has nothing to do with the actual subject, it does have something to do with these threads.  EVERYONE here should put some effort into spelling/grammar if they are going to publically post.  It is rather easy in comparison to what it used to be.  Todd has even put a spell-checker in the editors.  I don't ask perfection.  I don't ask something that I don't do for every post I make.  I used to keep a dictionary close by.  Everyone makes typos - that is truly something that can't be helped.  Otherwise, the written word is all that we have here to communicate.  That is why it is important to see at least 5th grade English rules being followed.  It makes it easier to understand.  It helps for people to take you seriously.  How would you like Todd to write in some haphazard way?  How about instructions for how to use your computer or programs written slipshod manner?

I might also point out that I did not continually harp on you about spelling/grammar.  I made my point and do try not try to bring up the issue continually - even though it plagues me to sift through it on a daily basis.  But you don't recognize that.   Something else you may not be aware of is the fact that I have mentioned to others on here how to use spell-check.  Some have followed through and it isn't personal pride that it was me that told them, it is just a good feeling to know that they improved themselves.  I don't brag about it.  I don't bring it up.  Others have taken an indignant position and continue to ignore spelling/grammar when posting.   I think people from other countries take great pride in their English/spelling/grammar and I silently give them a lot of credit. Sometimes, I've given them credit publically.  Many do a better job than I do.  I would like to see the same pride displayed in these and other forums from us.

"the difference between you and me is when it is wrong, i will call it what it is."

                  E) Well, you may have a point.  I don't make everything public.  Actually my opinion is that several things should be private.   For instance, you'd never catch me on Jerry Springer even if I remotely had any of the problems people display on there.

However, to point out, you never volunteered anything to ridge about his "tactics" - until I mentioned it in my last post.  So, you really can't claim that your record is perfect either.  I wouldn't give you bragging rights on the issue.

"what ridge said was true,  the minute guys like you beging to lose your grip on that marginalize squeeze job,  they move straight to lying about the person,  and you did that about me in your above post"

                  F)  Yeah, ridge is the pinnacle of debate.  Almost all his posts are somehow derogatory against some religion or some nation or some person.  His posts seldom offer any indication that he is on the same page as you regarding religion.  Many of his posts suggest that he isn't religious because he is a regular sinner.

I try to post opinions more than any kind of derogatory remarks.  I try to offer things that are common sense.  I try to be sincere.  The heat of the moment could change some of that, which is to be expected of anyone.  I am not sure how you mean I lied to you in the above post.  I cannot agree with every single word that some other posters post.  But there is a lot of truth in their frustration with you.  You did not see me "high-five" Stack (which was closer than you know) - on the other hand I didn't jump in and plaster you to the wall as you suggest.  His posts may not be 100% accurate - but on the other hand, I am not sure it goes to the level to be called a lie and him a liar.  He didn't attack your family as you seem to think.  At least not in my opinion.  He presented a hypothetical situation and projected about your children.

You can pick at all these words apart and find something to attack - don't expect me to jump back in.  If you have something specific that needs clearing up, ask and I'll try to explain what I meant.  But I don't want to spend another hour on a post like this, so make it short.

                  **************************************************************

Well, I won't be forced to keep quiet, just the same as you and others on here won't be forced.   I am not always right and I have changed some of my ideas from time to time.    However, a peaceful ending would be nice.  You don't have to agree with me - no one does.  I would never agree with you either.   But we don't have to do that to have an amicable end to some silly thread.

I actually have a life and I must attend to other things.

                    Truecritic,

Don't waste your time digging up the many references here to rdgrnr's negative questionings of various posters' sexuality.

                    It's not necessary.

Anyone with half a brain can see that it's an obsession with him.

                    Just ignore him.

You are in luck, ridge "Nancy" I have about two extra minutes and you make this so easy.

OK, folks, for the record, ridge has never posted the word queer - however that does not make me the liar.  I made that in bold to make sure everyone sees the disclaimer.

I will not look up examples and quotes from your many derogatory threads, you used common words thinly veiled to indicate gays.  I'll admit, I should have chosen a more P.C. word to describe your style - sorry to offend you.

But yet you continue to not call people by their screen name (I wonder if Todd might allow me to change mine to truecricket?) and you continue to call people derogatory names (MF).  I know you are like the rattlesnake used for the slogan "Don't tread on me" and I know you behave like this and there is no changing you.  I too hope you can live with yourself.

                        Don't Tread On Me

I like that slogan and my comparisons of rdgrnr to the rattlesnake should not detract from the intentions of that great slogan.

I should also apologize to any gays that are offended - sorry, should have made a better choice of words.

Your two minutes are up, don't expect me to debate the issue.

The fact that you want any mention of God or Jesus or prayer or saints or anything relating to that banned, wasn't even mentioned. You even went so far as to demand that "God bless America" be banned. Now, the debate has suddenly shifted to ethics in debate and politeness and propriety and decorum and who called who the worst names.

                          Well, how convenient!

Now you don't have to defend your war on God and religion anymore! You're in charge of ethics investigations!

I gotta hand it to ya.

                          You're a slippery little weasel!

Of all people, you, a liberal, and an atheist and an a Blame America First guy are not worthy to speak of the Gadsden Flag.

That flag was carried into battle against the British in our fight for Independence, a cause I'm sure you would have objected to because it involved the use of guns and violence and you find yourself in tears when writing a post.

So keep your limp-wristed, sashaying, touchy-feely, oh so sensitive opinions about it to yourself.

I have that flag on the back window of my pickup and it causes wimps like you to key it when they're sure they won't be caught.

Funny how you guys won't do a dam thing when I'm there though.

                            Gutless cowards.

Thank you for comparing me to the Rattlesnake, truecricket. I consider it a badge of honor, you insufferable moron. That's why it was used as an American Symbol.

Here's what Ben Franklin said about the Rattler:

"She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. ... she never wounds 'till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her."

Read on and maybe you'll learn something.

The origins of the Gadsden flag, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps

                              Georgia $20 bill
The seal from a 1778 $20 bill from Georgia. The financial backing for these bills was property seized from loyalists. The motto reads "Nemo me impune lacesset," i.e. "No one will provoke me with impunity."

By 1775, the snake symbol wasn't just being printed in newspapers. It was appearing all over the colonies: on uniform buttons, on paper money, and of course, on banners and flags.

The snake symbol morphed quite a bit during its rapid, widespread adoption. It wasn't cut up into pieces anymore. And it was usually shown as an American timber rattlesnake, not a generic serpent.

We don't know for certain where, when, or by whom the familiar coiled rattlesnake was first used with the warning "Don't Tread on Me."

We do know when it first entered the history books.

In the fall of 1775, the British were occupying Boston and the young Continental Army was holed up in Cambridge, woefully short on arms and ammunition. At the Battle of Bunker Hill, Washington's troops had been so low on gunpowder that they were ordered "not to fire until you see the whites of their eyes."

In October, a merchant ship called The Black Prince returned to Philadelphia from a voyage to England. On board were private letters to the Second Continental Congress that informed them that the British government was sending two ships to America loaded with arms and gunpowder for the British troops.

Congress decided that General Washington needed those arms more than the British. A plan was hatched to capture the cargo ships. They authorized the creation of a Continental Navy, starting with four ships. The frigate that carried the information from England, the Black Prince, was one of the four. It was purchased, converted to a man-of-war, and renamed the Alfred.

To accompany the Navy on their first mission, Congress also authorized the mustering of five companies of Marines. The Alfred and its sailors and marines went on to achieve some of the most notable victories of the American Revolution. But that's not the story we're interested in here.

What's particularly interesting for us is that some of the Marines that enlisted that month in Philadelphia were carrying drums painted yellow, emblazoned with a fierce rattlesnake, coiled and ready to strike, with thirteen rattles, and sporting the motto "Don't Tread on Me."

                              An American Guesser

In December 1775, "An American Guesser" anonymously wrote to the Pennsylvania Journal:

"I observed on one of the drums belonging to the marines now raising, there was painted a Rattle-Snake, with this modest motto under it, 'Don't tread on me.' As I know it is the custom to have some device on the arms of every country, I supposed this may have been intended for the arms of America."

This anonymous writer, having "nothing to do with public affairs" and "in order to divert an idle hour," speculated on why a snake might be chosen as a symbol for America.

First, it occurred to him that "the Rattle-Snake is found in no other quarter of the world besides America."

The rattlesnake also has sharp eyes, and "may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance." Furthermore,

"She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. ... she never wounds 'till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her."

                              Finally,

"I confess I was wholly at a loss what to make of the rattles, 'till I went back and counted them and found them just thirteen, exactly the number of the Colonies united in America; and I recollected too that this was the only part of the Snake which increased in numbers. ...

"'Tis curious and amazing to observe how distinct and independent of each other the rattles of this animal are, and yet how firmly they are united together, so as never to be separated but by breaking them to pieces. One of those rattles singly, is incapable of producing sound, but the ringing of thirteen together, is sufficient to alarm the boldest man living."

Many scholars now agree that this "American Guesser" was Benjamin Franklin.

Franklin is also known for opposing the use of an eagle — "a bird of bad moral character" — as a national symbol.
