Thanks, CDanaT, then it has served it's purpose.

I can't se any viable reason why anyone would vot to re-elect him, other than the 'just because' vote already mentioned in this thread.

What we haven't discussed was how nice it would be to win a jackpot and know that no one would try and seize it.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

    Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I remember seeing Brad Duke on Lottery Changed My Life. Love the show, but I don't think I'll go on it after I win. I do believe in positive thinking. I think everyone that plays the lottery does too, some more than others or they wouldn't play in the first place. I've been keeping a lottery journal since 2008 with the jackpot analysis after taxes, dates and positive sayings. I have been reading the stories and posts here for the last few years and finally joined today. Here's my first post, wish me luck!

Do you ever get tired of whining? Have you spent your whole GD life whining? How's it working out for ya so far?

Whiners like you who blame their whole GD life of failure on racism, spoil it for people who truly do suffer racism at some point in their life. You've played the race card so much and screamed racism so often that the word racism itself has lost it's meaning and power. It's old and overused and meaningless now because idiots like you use it to explain why you didn't win the GD Powerball Jackpot of all GD things.

It's now become like the boy who cried wolf, nobody listens anymore.

You are singularly the biggest GD idiot I have ever seen here.

              Very well articulated.

Another white person wins a huge 200mm+ jackpot.
And from Idaho, one of the most racist/whitest places in the country.
                    Shocking...

Tell me again how all the big winners aren't white...

And we are still waiting to see the latest winner from Newport RI
                    who is probably white also.
                    No No

Hawkeye....You really need to get a grip and realize that the lottery is truly random and it does not care what the ethnicity of the person who wins. White, Black, Puerto Rican, Asian, Mexican American, even gay or straight for that matter. The purpose of the lottery is to raise funds to support certain programs in a given state and the more tickets that are sold then the more monies is raised to support these programs. That being said....They have been several African Americans that have won major jackpot amounts, for example the 2 gentleman from South Carolina that won the powerball...one was for I believe around 200 million and the other was for 35 million and the kid was only 19 years old. Then there was the lady in California who won the Super lotto plus for 112 million back in 2007. I suggest you do a google search and type in Black lottery winners and it will show you plenty of examples. I also noticed there was no public outcry because the winners happened to be black. So I suggest that you be careful with your words when you make statements as outrageous as what you posted. By the way I am African American born in raised in this country. Remember....the person that wins a jackpot haves the same chance of winning as anyone else that buys a ticket. They just beat the odds, so get over yourself or stop buying tickets if feel some sort of injustice was done.

                       CoinToss,

In all honesty, we are one freakingly confused society. While the current incumbent is giving us more headaches than necessary, his opposition makes me scratch my head in tandem. It makes me ask, what in the world of HUMANITY is going on?!

Tax the rich, don't tax the rich - The first is either being said by those who do not see it necessary to improve their station in life or those who mismanaged other people's money, like our TAXES. The second well, let's face it, we are all playing the lottery to become wealthy so, I rather be asked about my opinion on what MY money is being used for, don't you think so? The current president is giving me a headache, I can't lie. I am African-American and I believe that experience should be brought into leading a nation not just, honeyed words. Now, let's go to the opposition.

                         Let me see.

Cain - Dear heavens, he was so confusing, even the rest of the party scratched their heads in confusion.

Perry - I am from Texas and most of us, would rather forget his outing, thank you very much.

                      Santorum - I don't know what to say, I really don't.

Ron Paul - Where in the world is the man? We hear next to nothing from him anymore.

Bachman (I hope I spelled that right) - As a woman, I better reserve my comments there.

Gingrich - Well, I reserve my comments as well.

Romney - I don't know, darned if he did, darned if he didn't

                        Now, our current president.

Oiy gavalt! For the humanity, why didn't he surround himself with a cabinet that is well versed in the game of politics and diplomacy ? Better still, for heaven's sake man, he bit more than he can chew and now, the rest of us have to swallow HARD!  Here's an idea. If you have no clue, do NOT run for presidency.

                         - Here is a lesson to us all, be careful voting based on your emotions or prejudices, you might not like the outcome.

Thanks Ridge! I still have an open ivitation on that Jack Daniels Silver Select for you if my numbers ever hit.

But there is no way in hell that I am going on one of those d*mn lottery shows! Smile

Well, I'd be honored to drink that whiskey, thank ya kindly.

And I agree about the lottery show but I do wanna go on national tv and say that when I won that 500 million it was the first time I ever played.

And that I bought a hundred tickets with Powerplay.
