It's like waiting for ol' hawkeye to dye his skin white, to win that ol' PB.  Blush

Why would he need to dye his skin?  With almost everyone here using fictitious names and making themselves out to be whom ever they want to be, we can only think he's who or what he says.  If he said he was red then he's red, besides the name hawkeye sounds redish to me.

      Babel,

"First President to go on 17 lavish vacations, including date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends; paid for by the taxpayer.

I believe that it was Ronald Reagan that said Presidents don't get vacations, they get a change of scenery. Obama was on "vacation" 61 days during his first 31 months in office. Yes Virginia, that's 2 days out of each month. At the same point in Bush 43's presidency he had spent 180 days on vacation at his ranch and Reagan had spent 112 at his home in California. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, had only taken 28 days. In fact by the time his 2 terms were over George W. Bush had spent 977 days either at Camp David or at home in Texas, 1/3rd of his time in office."

And how about Obama, and Michelle  using Air force One, to the tune of $millions, as a flying taxi service? Want to talk about the 65 limos Obama had at the Vatican to transport his friends from Chicago who wanted to go see the place?

First lady's Aspen trip marks 16th vacation in 3 years for Obama family

WASHINGTON –  First Lady Michelle Obama took her daughters on a ski trip to Aspen over President's Day weekend, the 16th trip the first family has taken since President Obama took office.

Over the past three years, the president, first lady and their daughters Sasha and Malia have vacationed in Europe and Africa, and in various vacation hotspots around the U.S.

They have also traveled multiple times to Chicago, where they lived before the president was elected.

The family has spent every Christmas since taking office in Obama's native Hawaii.

Here is a full list of the 16 vacations, first compiled by The Washington Examiner:

-- President's Day 2012, Michelle and the girls go to Aspen to ski.
-- Christmas 2011, the first family goes to Hawaii for an extended vacation.
-- Summer 2011, the family visits Martha's Vineyard, Mass., for the annual beach break.
-- June 2011, the first lady, her mother and daughters travel to South Africa and Botswana.
-- President's Day 2011, the first lady and first daughters travel to Vail to ski.
-- Christmas 2010, the first family goes to Hawaii.
-- August 2010, post-BP oil spill beach trip to Panama City Beach, Fla.
-- August 2010, Obama travels to Chicago alone for a weekend 49th birthday bash (and fundraiser).
-- August 2010, the first lady and daughter Sasha travel to Spain for a mother-daughter vacation.
-- August 2010, the family spends summer vacation in Martha's Vineyard.
-- July 2010, the first family goes to Mount Desert Island, Maine.
-- May 2010, the first family takes a four-day trip to Chicago.
-- March 2010, first lady and daughters spend spring break in New York City.
-- Christmas 2009, the family goes to Hawaii for the winter break.
-- August 2009, everyone heads to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon for a short vacation.
-- August 2009, the first family takes its first vacation from the White House at Martha's Vineyard.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

When Washington became President, there were people who wanted to declare him King for life.

        He declined.

There are people now who would love having Obama declared King for life.

And he would jump at it.

        Thank God for the Constitution.

But at least he'll be able to go on all the vacations he wants after January.

And we won't have to pay for them anymore.

I'm still trying to figure out how a topic about Brad Duke finding the lottery ticket he won the PB jackpot with evolved into a political debate. But on the bright side, I don't have to read an entire ten page thread where all the replies are made by the same poster.

Actually, it didn't start off going political, it started going racial, when a lamebrain racist whiner named hawkeye90 got here and said this:

Another white person wins a huge 200mm+ jackpot.
And from Idaho, one of the most racist/whitest places in the country.
            Shocking...

Tell me again how all the big winners aren't white...

And we are still waiting to see the latest winner from Newport RI
            who is probably white also.

Thankfully, he has since moved on to the Land Of No Avatar but that's where the thread went off track initially.

My mother says the same thing everyday and she still has not won. Every time I feel tonight is going to to be that night, nothing happens. I have had many dreams that I've won, but the next day, it was nothing. Hell, I thought 2011 was going to be our lucky year. I have even taken mistake tickets. A ticket you didn't want or a ticket someone else passed on and still didn't win. I could go on, but I won't. I'm buying one MM ticket today. Surprise me.

I've never wondered about the ethnicity of jackpot winners, but when it was won in Idaho that was almost a given. The same is true if the winning ticket was sold in Chinatown. Other than the fact Idaho is proportionally more white than Washington D.C., we'll probably never see Hawkeye's evidence that either is more racist.

Brad Duke enjoys the status he received by winning the jackpot and I'm sure there will be future updates about his goal to turn his jackpot winnings into a $1 billion.

                      Simba774,

Millions of people request a jackpot 'from the universe' or convince themselves the next winner, but when it comes to lotto there are very few winners, if any, for any given draw.

Brad Duke does it and wins, then everyone wants it to happen to them. It would be nice if it worked that way, but it just doesn't. Justt think if it did, and then some night a jackpot was split 2,323,500 ways. That would be one heck of a reaction by the winners.

                      Stack47,

Interesting sidenote about Idaho.....it has the highest number of millionaires per capita of any state. Must be money in growing them 'taters!

According to other articles I've read Brake Duke developed a strategy where he picked 20 or so numbers to play and once he started getting some small wins regularly he was sure he would eventually win a jackpot.  I can't imagine him abandoning that strategy after winning a jackpot if his goal was to a billionaire and yet I haven't heard of him winning another major lottery prize since.  I think even he would have to admit in spite what he did picking his numbers and the number of tickets he bought regularly, he got lucky.

                          Bingo.

I'm sure there are tons of people who would pontificate on their special strategy to win the jackpot and there are a lot who already have.

I remember that guy from Kentucky (David Edwards?) who said he didn't pick the numbers, the numbers picked him. Ok, yeah right, whatever.

In the final analysis, it doesn't really matter.

Cuz no matter what anybody says, you're either gonna be one of the lucky few, or ya ain't.

Brad Duke said luck had nothing to do with it,and he believed absolutely he was going to win.No Brad,it was a few dollars and Lady Luck, that's all.

Very true. I'm sure millions of people buy a ticket and then says, "This is the winning ticket." "I'm going to win tonight." I remember a winner saying his grandmother told him if something sweet falls on you on your birthday, you're going to be lucky that day. Something sweet fell on him, he brought a scratch off ticket and won. Now, I'm sure millions also had sweets fall on them on their birthday and they didn't win anything.
