The Maryland winner has the benefit of complete anonymity. The winner of Florida has the benefit of not having to pay state taxes on this win. It would be nice to have both these benefits. Anybody know if there is a state that allows complete anonymity and also has no state taxes on lottery?

Delaware has no State Tax on Lottery Prizes and you can remain anonymous also!

Unfortunately that was changed a few years ago. Delaware "DOES" now tax lottery winnings, but one can still remain anonymous

Either admin & dpoly1 are right or you are right. On the USA MEGA jackpot analysis section it states that DE has no state taxes on lottery just like dpoly1 has pointed out but you disagree. What?

this is from the delaware lottery website

How much is taken out of my winnings for Federal and State taxes?
For any prize of more than $5,000, the Lottery withholds 25% of your winnings for Federal tax. All winning Delaware Lottery tickets are subject to Delaware Income Tax. However, if you are not a Delaware resident, your state may tax your winnings.

I just went to Delaware Lottery site and they now tax winnings.

The matrix on this site still lists them as not taxing lottery winnings.

It seems USAMEGA admin didn't change the website.
