One lottery ticket holder matched the winning Powerball numbers on Nov. 29, 2014, winning the $90 million multi-state jackpot.
The winning ticket was purchased in Washington state, according to Lottery officials.
The Powerball winning numbers drawn for Saturday, Nov. 29 were 13, 24, 30, 42, and 48, with Powerball number 27. The Power Play number was 2.
In addition to the jackpot winner, two ticket holders in the multi-state lottery game matched 5 numbers, which paid off $1 million each. Those tickets were purchased in California and Virginia.
Also, two ticket holders matched 5 numbers, with Power Play, winning $2 million each. Those tickets were sold in New Mexico and Rhode Island.
The next Powerball drawing is Dec. 3. The jackpot will the starting amount of $40 million.
The other big multi-state jackpot game, Mega Millions, has its next drawing on Dec. 2, with a jackpot of $70 million. The last Mega Millions jackpot winner was a ticket holder in New York who won $321 million on Nov. 4.
That Power Play makes a huge difference when you match 5 + 0 especially knowing that they'll tax that win to the bone. PB is becoming a winners game and I'm hoping they don't change it. MM isn't churning out millionaires every week
I knew it was fixed ........
Washington always wins ..........
DANG IT! You beat me to it. LOL.
Thank You Todd for the update. A Mega Millions win by a LP member on Tuesday night will be welcome here.
I think we should ban Washington from playing Powerball!
I see the usual ones are being asses. I have no problem with a state that gets its first jackpot win.
That was uncalled for.
Nobody mentioned you.
Hey, I'm happy it wasn't from California or Florida.
But congratulations to the winner, and I hope they invest it wisely, and be careful with their spending (i.e. not go hog-wild and buy a lear jet or something ridiculous like that).
Interesting statement coming from you...in the past you insisted it was 'always' California and when directed to the winners galleries on the PB and MM website you claimed they were lies.
Consistency is not your forte.
Congratulation to the winner/s.........
Good luck lol, seems like that much money might be a headache.
you noticed that too eh , Coin Toss
i swear, Todd needs to do a wee bit of house cleaning and get rid of some of these dust bunnies
That could easily happen if some of the members are as smart as they think they are when it comes to picking winning combinations. Good Luck LP members.
Goon, after my MM or PB jackpot win, I'll probably assess my situation a few months afterwards and give feedback.
Good luck to the winners of that 90M JP. It would almost be enough to retire on after taxes... almost. :)
No, but I get the drift who they're mocking though...Which I thought was a no no...I guess rules are applied differently to some here.
What are you talking about? What about winners galleries? Speaking of inconsistent, try to be more specific on what you're whining about. If you have such a problem with a differing point of view about things, just ask me to nicely leave, or would that be too difficult?
Get the drift???
Must be feeling guilty.
LOL.
As a reply to one of your 'it's always California' posts I gave you a link to the winners galleries pages at MM.
You said that gallery was a 'lie'.
With this post you also proved that pathological liars never have as good a memory as they need to.
And do try to use some original thought instead of lifting what people say and trying to make it appear that you said it.
Hey remember, he's at the center of the universe. So of course everything is about him and only him. You know you wake up in the morning and your first thought is "how can I screw this guy over?" He's just that important. Reminds me of an old Carly Simon tune.
Congrats to the lucky winner.
The same few trashing a whole topic, and personally attacking like usual. Attack what is being brought up, not the person saying it.
How is it a personal attack when no one mentioned you? It was a joke that took a jab at every conspiracy person who's ever ranted and raved on Lottery Post. No one was targeting you specifically because guess what, you weren't even on our minds until you posted in the thread. You need to get over yourself. Not every thing is about you. You're the one trying to make yourself the center of attention not us.
Lottery players are not spending big Money on MM. Poweball $2 ticket prize makes it a premium lottery game.
Spend more money and PA will be next.
Lotto Texas is $9M. Are you playing?
I will make sure to buy 1 MM ticket. Thanks
Who is going to contribute to the next Powerball Jackpot?
I do not a problem with anybody winning in any state, because they spent the money to play.
You should be thankful to have California and Florida in multi state games. They support the big jackpots by buying the most tickets.
You are the smartest lottery post member for matching 5 out of 6 in Ohio classic lotto by picking your own numbers?
I should have spend $176M to win that $90M Powerball lottery jackpot.
Good for you. I only have a problem with the 3 usual states that win too often. Some here just can't and won't get it, that when the same places win consistently, it turns off a lot of people to play the MM or PB. I am sure the usual ones will be along to tell me differently.
No one in the nation came up with all five winning core numbers so even the best LP predictors had a task beyond their skills. Better luck next time LP members.
Thanks but if I was really that smart I would have matched 6 of 6 in Ohio's Classic Lotto by now, after all the odds of doing that are only 1 in 14 millions.
The winner "claims" this was the first time she's ever played Powerball. I smell BS!
I would have said the same thing had it been me. We all know it's BS but it would be fun to hear the reaction of all the people who play everyday.
She doesn't look like a BS'er to me. Nothing in her body language would indicate she is shifty. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt but if she started talking about selling me something, that's another story.

I've been playing the lottery for years and I haven't won much but I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility someone could win the first time playing a game.
It also doesn't matter if you been playing for years or if it's your first time, if you buy one ticket for a Powerball drawing your odds are the same...... 1 in 175 million.
Playing the Powerball for years doesn't entitle someone to anything and doesn't grant anyone better odds than someone who just started. It all comes down to luck.
I don't understand why you do such a thing. Lying to people to get your jollies off doesn't make sense to me. Isn't it enough joy to know you beat the odds and won millions of dollars? On top of that, you have to taunt people who play on a regular basis too?
When the jackpots are reset, MM at 15 mil and PB at 40 mil, it's the people who play on a consistent basis that makes the lotteries viable.
Didn't really mean it that way. I just find it amusing that many people get bent out of shape when they hear that it was a first timer that won a major lottery prize. I don't expect to win a jackpot in my lifetime so there will be no boasting from me but I will still occasionally play.
You have to believe in the intangible in order to win a lottery jackpot Someday.
The few occasions when I actually play is only for entertainment purposes. I may have a wild dream about what I would do with all that wealth but that is where it ends.
