Cops: Lottery ticket dispute led to Florida ax murder

Florida Lottery

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man is being held without bond, accused of murdering his friend with an ax during a fight over lottery tickets.

"I was defending myself," suspect Joseph Robinson said after his initial court appearance.

The victim was identified as John Henry Stubbs, 69. The father of 11 was killed in what investigators said was a gruesome act involving an ax.

"It's a shock. We're still trying to cope with it and deal with the situation right now," said Michelle Johnson, the victim's niece.

Witnesses and family members told investigators that an altercation over scratch-off tickets and money led to the attack. The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Robinson attacked and killed the victim with an ax and then ran away.

"He got mad, ran and got the ax and hit him with it twice," said Chakia Gardner, Robinson's ex-girlfriend. "He snuck him. Yeah, he snuck him," said witness Annie Macon. There were multiple witnesses to the crime, like Macon, who helped investigators identify the suspect within a few hours.

"It's going to be in my mind forever. Never seen anything like that," Macon said. But for the victim's daughters, sadness turned to anger. "He better hope the police get him, I swear to God," one daughter said.

Robinson's criminal record shows a violent past filled with charges of battery and domestic disputes dating back to 2008. He is now accused of murder.

"It's disheartening, but justice will be served," Johnson said. Robinson is being held in the Orange County Jail without bond.

Only if someone axed for it.

This is why people should be very careful who they socialize with! Stooges

There is nothing wrong with having less than five friends; a person doesn't need to pad their day with several acquaintances.

What does that case have to do with this? Zimmerman and Casey, neither one was about the Lottery. This case is about 2 BLM'ers fighting over a stupid lottery ticket.

That's exactly what happened in the case of George Zimmerman.

Florida has a tradition of letting racist murderers walk.

More black men were lynched in Florida by Ku Klux Klansmen during the 19th and 20th centuries than in any other state in the union, and those murderers never had to worry about being arrested or taken to court.

The " Stand Your Ground" law is pretty SPECIFIC.One has to defend themselves " without retreating" if they feel their lives are threatened. According to Mr Robinson's ex gf, he ran away and RETURNED with an axe- that is not SYG, he may think so- the courts will decide whether it's cold blooded murder or self defense. Mr Robinson's is reaching in my opinion.

Racism isn't limited to one political party.

There are racist Republicans, just as there are racist Democrats.

For example, members of former Republican U.S President Richard Nixon's administration can be heard scheming to further oppress poor blacks on The Nixon Tapes.

As a pro black black man, I like Donald Trump.

The fact that David Duke supports him, means nothing to me.

Contrary to what some would assume, I didn't vote for Obama in either election.

Years ago I bought Donald Trump's book entitled, "The Art of the Deal." LOL

But whatever,  for real?  Nixon talking smack equated to lynching?    The repubics weren't lynching anybody then, recently or now.  The democrat party hands down has been hanging,  aborting, keeping down people of color since the party formed until today.  Hilldog has a Sanger award look that one up, or better yet let me save you the trouble:

NO! Only the ones from unwed mother and fatherless homes, that love to riot, burn and steal, like the ones in Baltimore, Ferguson, Watts in 60's and 80's. You know who they are. Just like this one,

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/k-12/high-school-disciplinary-problem-arrested-327958

you can pick them out, a mile away. Face the facts. I have Black friends, who are God fearing, honest, hard working, married doing the best they can to teach their kids, the right way to live. Unfortunately, the bad apples get all the publicity.

They weren't "talking smack"...they were discussing how to cut welfare for poor, oppressed black people.

Not only was that similar to lynching...it was a form of genocide.

The reason those blacks were poor in the first place was because of 400 of years of racial injustice.

Being discriminated against, without welfare, many of them would have died.
