Like I said, I'm no expert on military power, but I think the US will not let North Korea get close to their achievement.  They will wake up one morning and their stuff will not be working, like IRAN.

You kidding?  Bill Clinton already let North Korea develop nuclear weapons, just like obama gave Iran the ability to develop their nukes.  Had enough of democrat Presidents yet?  Dem's only care about one thing...Show me the money!

So you folks have beat the snot outta King... Congrats.

        BUT... Why Trump?

        Facts please...

What's his plan  other than hiring lots of smart "billionaires" to run our country?

When Trump's plan called for a  "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on.

Jeb Bush tweeted, "Donald Trump is unhinged. His "policy" proposals are not serious."

And Lindsey Graham added Trump "has gone from making absurd comments to being downright dangerous with his bombastic rhetoric." and "He’s putting at risk the lives of interpreters, American supporters, diplomats, & the troops in the region by making these bigoted comments"

I've heard that Trump has a plan to find and deport 11 million illegals, build a very high wall on the Mexico/US border, and make Mexico pay for it, but never saw the exact details of how it could be done. Trump want to lower our tax burden while increasing the size of our military so he can "take out" ISIS, ISIL, and maybe North Korea and Iran.

I'm sure he has excellent plans on how to do his magic act and his LP supporters probably have all the real details and will share them with you.

Where do you get a total and complete shutdown of muslims entering the US?  Are you nuts or just a liar?  BTW, under Reagan, lowering taxes did boost the economy.  Or is American history not your strong point?

Stack47, trump stated, "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on. "

but he has pulled back on that recently,  because he knows that he can't do that, plus he also knows that he needs the US muslim votes also.

The republicans are really worried about trump, they are still pulling away from him.  Also, big donors are pulling away from him also, he does not have the money for attack ads for Hillary.

Trump is not going to deport 11 million illegals, or build a wall that Mexico will pay for, not going to happen.  Lowering taxes for everyone is not realistic, how is he going to pay for that.

The trade stuff that trump talked about is a waste of time.

The only good thing that trump talked about was regulatory rules.

As far as taking out Isis, that is still going to be long term,  they are not wearing isis uniforms with the words isis on it.  This is why it is so difficult to kill isis.

But it was mostly all talk!

50 G.O.P. Officials Warn Donald Trump Would Put Nation’s Security ‘at Risk’

Fifty of the nation’s most senior Republican national security officials, many of them former top aides or cabinet members for President George W. Bush, have signed a letter declaring that Donald J. Trump “lacks the character, values and experience” to be president and “would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

Mr. Trump, the officials warn, “would be the most reckless president in American history.”

The letter says Mr. Trump would weaken the United States’ moral authority and questions his knowledge of and belief in the Constitution. It says he has “demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding” of the nation’s “vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances and the democratic values” on which American policy should be based. And it laments that “Mr. Trump has shown no interest in educating himself.”

“None of us will vote for Donald Trump,” the letter states, though it notes later that many Americans “have doubts about Hillary Clinton, as do many of us.”

"Former CIA Officer Evan McMullin Launches Independent Presidential Bid as an Alternative Candidate to Donald Trump"

"Evan McMullin, a former CIA counter-terrorism officer, will run for president  as a third-party conservative alternative to Donald Trump. He is a former CIA agent and currently the Chief Policy Director for the House Republican Conference. McMullin has never held elective office, even though he has been working in the government since 1999. According to his LinkedIn page, McMullin joined the CIA as an operations officer in 1999 and stayed at the agency until 2010. He “managed clandestine operations related to counterterrorism, counterinsurgency, energy, political stability, and counterintelligence, while serving mostly in hostile environments.  Aside from a three-year stint as an investment banking associate at Goldman Sachs, McMullin has been in government since joining the CIA.   In 2013, he became a senior adviser to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. In 2015, he joined the Republican Conference as its Chief Policy Director. His job includes managing their domestic and foreign policy initiatives, focusing on foreign affairs, national security, technology, health care and other issues. "

"Evan McMullin is  a Morman.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from Brigham Young University and, later in his life, a Master's of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania."

"He also served as a Mormon missionary in Brazil and a Volunteer Refugee Resettlement Officer for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Jordan."

I think North Korea and Iran intended to develop Nuclear Weapons regardless of American Policy or position on the matter. These countries don't take their lead about what to do from the United States, which is why it is pointless to blame sitting US Presidents for the actions of other countries.

The U.S. has Nuclear Weapons as well, and will continue to develop Nuclear Weapons in secrecy, regardless of whatever "Front Face Charade" this country puts forward for the rest of the world to believe.

Actually you're wrong.  As memory serves me correctly, the Clinton administration gave NK billions and cut sanctions against that country in return for a promise not to pursue nukes.  Sanctions were working, just like they were working against Iran.

Sanctions may have been working, but is it not reasonable to assume [given the type of Countries we're dealing with here], that both North Korea and Iran are still developing Nuclear Weapons in secrecy, regardless of sanctions.

North Korea and Iran CANNOT be TRUSTED !!!

The purpose of sanctions is for regime change.  Almost worked in 2009 Iran when the people took to the streets.  Unfortunately obama didn't support them.  Surprise surprise.

Their lives are ALREADY in danger. Being a bigot is meaningless to our enemies. Bigotry, defined and used by

Lindsey Graham, is in a politically correct fashion without regard to real issues. Who is the fool? One who wants

to keep borders opened for anyone who wants to flood in? One who wants to allow foreigners in so their governments

remain friendly to our faces while stabbing us in the back? When we are so stuffed to the gills and overrun with outsiders

that our own people suffer and DIE something needs to give.

The situation has gone too far under current leadership. How many more bombings on foreign and home soil are

we supposed to endure due to shortcomings in a policy set in place that protects, encourages and gives rights to

outsiders? And how many more of our own citizens are supposed to suffer while we accommodate immigrants?

Either show terrorists we mean business by aggressive search and destroy and stop looking like cowards and puppets..

or pull out and leave them to themselves. They'll always have someone to direct their anger towards, let them kill

each other. US is spread too thin, busy trying to be a mighty power worldwide. We should be the mightiest power

right here on our own ground. And if that means keeping terrorists or foreigners meant to spread terror out, so be it.

I wouldn't mind being called prejudiced at all in the name of self preservation. The great melting pot needed to be

overturned a long, long time ago. Our seemingly softhearted, underhanded government makes it easy for us to

                              be targeted.

What would any of you do or think if one of your family members were killed by terrorists? I'd want them hunted

down and annihilated. Not just the leader but as many mindless followers along with him as possible. They are over

at US bases hiding in caves like the monsters they are shooting at service members everyday. Driving bombs to

checkpoints and base entrances...you don't hear about that much today, but it's happening. People are dying over

there and for what? Service to a government that doesn't care about them? VA benefits and facilities are a joke and

our Commander in Chief has the gall to display heartfelt thankfulness faked in a speech he didn't even write. Just

keep manning those bases and die trying.

Keep the terrorists out, keep the illegal immigrants out, if that preserves our country, I'm for it. If allowed in and it

means scrutinizing Middle Eastern immigrants, they shouldn't be offended, they should be honored to enter a country

(when they clear) that holds the safety and future of its citizens dear to its heart and fights for their own protection

with all its might. We need 'Proud to be an American' to mean something again.
