60 minutes will be relevant tonight  for the first time in 20 plus years. I bet they set a ratings record.

And one year after the Bataclan attack in Paris.

Not true. My work colleague has 4 children and each got a full academic or sports scholarship to college. The last one turned down Harvard last year and went to a state school that offered her 100% coverage.

That's super rare. Not exactly your average college student.

Not really. The parents set firm expectations. My way was paid for also via grants and scholarships for college and a post college degree. I do not believe in excuses.

Not true.  Some parents work their butts off to pay for their children's college education.  I agree though, college is way too expensive.  Ask yourself two things... Do you think college professors are grossly overpaid and why do they vote democrat?

There have been protests because they've been underpaid, especially adjuncts. It's the worthless luxury stuff like athletics and administration that have driven the costs up to infinity and beyond.

Most professors keep their politics to themselves, the crazy blatant professors you hear about are quite rare. Colleges attract new ideas and research that wouldn't be taken seriously by the general public. Thus they attract people with radical or innovative ideas.

This thread is about this last election.   Keep up, Sparky.

Oh, and quit being so childish.

          Excellent comment mikeintexas.

This thread, post election, reminds me of when I went to school in NJ. I grew up in the NJ/NY area ( a bridge connects that town and Staten Island and the middle of the bridge was marked NJ/MY. We played the 'hook' sitting in the NY side so the truant officers couldn't get us).

If you get bored look up Texaco Massachusetts and Alva Cape maritime accident 6-16-1966.

Anyway, despite growing up there I'm a Baltimore Orioles fan. Every day in school I'd hear arguments about Clete Boyer being ao much of a better third baseman because Boyer was a Yankee.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

          Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

That pic behind Leslie Stahl does not look like Trump. She is so liberal.I am glad he referenced the double standard.

I wonder why none of the major new networks have called Michigan yet? Republicans have had the same 12k lead for several days now. I want to see those 16 electoral votes push Trump to 306.

Skibunny, I was wrong, just saw on the news that Michigan and New Hampshire are STILL counting votes!  Sorry for my mistake.

Havent read any other posts today to see if anybody corrected me, if so, again I apologize for my mistake.

Note:  Ok it figures Kingdump jumped on that in a nanosecond.

"Whats with the mass protests against Trump being elected President? This doesn't makes sense."

Apparently some of the Clinton supporters are more poorly educated than Trump's. The protests on Wednesday could not be planned because they thought she would win the election, but all the follow-up protests are organized and sort of reminds me of the 70s.

"IMO the Trump administration should find those responsible and charge them with sedition."

Trump won't even be the President until January 20 and even if he moved into the White House last Wednesday, no President can arbitrarily be the police, judge, jury, and jailer.

"This is NOT a peaceful transfer of power."

How exactly do the protests in a number of American cities, prevent a peaceful transfer of power from one President to the next?

The best thing Trump could do to stop the protests is to tell the people that most of his campaign promises were BS. For some reason they actually believe Trump can deport 11 million people, ban some religions from entering the US, build a very tall wall along the Mexican border, repeal gay marriage, Roe v Wade, lower taxes and abolish Obamacare. Did I miss anything?

A couple of weeks ago I asked if anyone on this thread had Obamacare and only one posters said they knew someone on Obamacare. It's been around for at least 6 years and never effected my health care and considering it only effects less than 3% of Americans, it's just a talking point.

Marriage and abortion are 14th Amendment issues, the wall and taxes belong to Congress. I hope you're not expecting too much out of Trump because if you do, you'll be very disappointed.

                Yeah you azz Stack..

HE'S GOING TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

AND THAT'S NO BULLSHYT, you forgot that one.

It is NOT a peaceful transfer of power...Obama

and Hillary and the sicko Dems who were crying

and wondering what the he*ll happened will see

to that. Where is that bum Obama in all of this?

I see nothing coming from him about these riots.

Even Oprah weighed in...and they attacked her.

You had to eat your words...Trump won and now all you can do is attack his campaign

promises....or hey, maybe you can go march. I'll tell you what, if I ever run into one of

these violent protesters I won't sit there and cry...someone will be DEAD if they smash

MY windshield or lay a finger on ME. I will leave my TRUMP stickers on and proudly

say I voted for the man who made history. The Dems are sitting stagnating somewhere

wondering how they lost. It was the lies, corruption, donations, SoS BS and her over-

all dishonesty that moved millions of people to vote. I loved watching him turn state

after state after state RED. Now the man is ready to take office and it will be such

a refreshing change. Talk about him all you want but there isn't anything you can do

about it now. Get used to it, he's the President elect and not you or anyone else who

wanted criminal Hillary in there can change it. Trump is in - shake up coming.

No apology needed as my question wasn't directed at anyone.  I was just curious as to why Michigan hasn't been called yet. I have noticed that NH did get called for Clinton but I just want to see the final tally with Trump at 306(the lead close up quite a bit towards the end).

Update: Anyone asking where I got the figures, it was from twitter posts. Knowing the Democrat media have been dragging their liberal feet giving Michigan to Trump – finally they did,  with Arizona finally declared two days ago – Trump now has the 309. Except for the twitter posts, the popular vote number still need to be updated in Wikipedia or MSM media – which may take another few days because the liberals are still reeling and recovering from Trump-shock victory. If I’m wrong, I won’t hesitate to change the numbers. It’s the job of the establishment media to tell the people the final numbers when it’s out there already.

As of 11/13/16, CNN and Wikipedia are showing different numbers.

Example below: As of 11/13/16 CNN and Wikipedia quote same electoral vote number for Hillary Clinton but not with Trump – CNN still using the 290, Wikipedia 306 EV. They also differ when it comes to popular votes – CNN has more for Clinton, Wikipedia has less.

Remember, CNN projected a Trump popular vote victory when all ballots are counted. Then CNN claim “design flaw” for the projection.
