RL

I was being sarcastic..

and I apologize for the other night.
I was just tired of people believing
that all democrats were lazy, ignorant,
bums, who only desire a free handout.
and support immorality.

Got it, thanks for clearing it up.   I have many family members that voted republican for the first time in their lives.

they are not.  Many great discoveries come while searching for something else

Did I? Guess so. I don't remember if that was an accidental click or just one of those days back at the beginning when I was fed up with the personal level sniping and trolling.

For a college kid, you're not too bright.

Safe space meaning a place where a college student can go to cry, play with playdoh, color in coloring books...you know, the places some colleges set up for their students that were devastated by Hillary losing.

Man, this kind of stuff was unheard of back in the 60's. What the hell has happened to our society? What a bunch of pansies.

My own daughter, the one I posted about a few pages back, told her mother she was "depressed" about Hillary losing. Good thing she didn't say that to me. I love her dearly, but God help me, I didn't raise her to be a lib. Like I said before, the other two kids turned out ok...not "depressed" because of Hillary, Donald, or anyone else in politics. For whatever reason, she believed every freaking lie her professors told her.

"In her book “Mapping Gay L.A.,” scholar and activist Moira Kenney traces the beginning of the “safe space” idea to gay and lesbian bars in the mid-60s. With anti-sodomy laws still in effect, a safe space meant somewhere you could be out and in good company—at least until the cops showed up. Gay bars were not “safe” in the sense of being free from risk, nor were they “safe” as in reserved. A safe place was where people could find practical resistance to political and social repression."

"According to Kenney, the term “safe space” first gets used consistently in the 60s and 70s women’s movement,"

            noise-gate,

            You've never seen this?

            Executive Summary

Californians bear an enormous fiscal burden as a result of an illegal alien population estimated at almost 3 million residents. The annual expenditure of state and local tax dollars on services for that population is $25.3 billion. That total amounts to a yearly burden of about $2,370 for a household headed by a U.S. citizen.

            http://www.fairus.org/publications/the-fiscal-burden-of-illegal-immigration-on-california-taxpayers

            That's just California.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

            Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

l am well aware of that Coin Toss. Its possible that there are other States that do not have this problem- what l was talking about is the cutting & gutting of services that Ryan and others foresee. Those will affect the elderly in every State of the Union. I think putting the issue in the States lap will only make things worse- but then again,  l could be wrong. Just saying. No one can confidently say it will work out great.

There is so much wrong with the US.   Immigration is one of those things that needs serious revamping.

I believe freedom, liberty and justice cannot be separated.   Lets say that a person here illegally wants

to claim freedom and liberty but has totally ignored our laws.

If a US citizen breaks a law they will pay a fine and or go to jail.  In the US I think over 99% of  people

tolerate others even when they have different opinions as long as the opinions expressed don't deny

any of the three basic principals this country is built upon.

I agree, we have been getting pissed on for so long we can't take it an longer.  Obama failed, one only

needs to look at the results of his presidency.  I think he hates the constitution as it stands between us

and what he hoped to accomplish. GW Bush once said it was noting but a piece of paper.   Freedom is not

lawlessness, it's a set of rules that hold us together and give us a base to work from.   Take roe vs wade,

the Constitution is silent on the subject so that's something that should be up to the people.  One area

might think it is ok to have a abortion while another may not so let the locals decide.   The bible says that

God set before us two choices, life or death.  We do have a choice but we must remember that we will also

face the consequences both now and later.   Kind of like the heaven or hell thing.  Many trash God saying he

is wicked for sending people to hell.  Truth is, we are/were legally owned by the king of hell and what God is

offering is a means to escape it.  Some say Jesus was just a man which he was as far as the flesh goes but

Jesus was also Yahweh.  Jesus is not a creation of the church, he is mentioned all through the old testament

and was the seed promised to Abraham.  What many don't know is that there are two Yahweh's in the Bible,

Father and Son and at times both show up at the same time.   It was not until around first century that Jews

outlawed the two person Godhead, it's easy to understand why.

You'd think that 18-19-20 yr. old college kids would be young adults, not babies who need to be cuddled when the big bad ol' world doesn't treat them with kid gloves.

I'm sure their great-grandfathers would have loved a safe place when they were those kid's age.

                         WWII D-Day

Not many safe places in Korea for their granddads at their age, either.

                        Korea

Their fathers in Vietnam certainly needed a safe place.

                        Vietnam

Their peers - or older brothers - would enjoy a safe place in Iraq or Afghanistan

                        Iraq

So, you'll have to excuse those of us who don't have much sympathy for the fragile little snowflakes who need a safe place because someone called them a "faggot" or some religious nutjob told them to repent from their wicked ways.  They need to just learn to ignore people like that and get on with their life. If they need a safe place where they can collectively share their angst over Trump winning the election, then they just need to suck it up and face reality.  Until then, we're going to keep on pointing and laughing at them.

You can not assume that people of today think like people of yesterday. How many old fashioned people with old fashioned strict values do you see nowadays? Not many. You can also not assume that just because someone looks different or dresses differently or speaks differently, that they have no right to be here in this country. Immigration vetting in a lot of places is a very strict process. A lot and I do mean a lot of people go through a lot to get here, and then when they are here they have to learn everything for the first time. Everything that is done here, everything that we do. And people that already live here and enjoy the full priveleges of this country are going to jump on them and attack them for no other reason besides the reason of stupid?

Well, the bible teaches one thing and one thing only-love your fellow man. Do not persecute your fellow man. It also teaches those that live by the sword die by the sword. If you hold a gun to my face and say you're going to shoot me, I'll pray for you. That is the Christian way. Anyone else saying anything else is a liar and a fake. It's time for people to stop being so hypocritical. Because they're not living under the same roof of what they're preaching. Salut

I work with a guy who came here from Afghanistan when he was around 12 or 13. He is very bright, one of the top salespeople in the company. When he first arrived, he knew no English. Had to learn on the fly so to speak. I really admire him, though there are times he irritates me and others because he likes to talk all the time.

His family came here the right way. They didn't sneak across, they came in and worked and became citizens. So he and his family are examples of how to immigrate to the US.

My youngest son came by yesterday and told he is going to Iraq.  My-son-in law is in the same unit so I

guess he will be going too but I did not ask.  Maybe they can look out for each other.   I think he said it

was for 9 months this time so not so bad.  He was on his way back from your neck of the woods having

done some sort of training mission.  Kind of a out of the blue, I get a call, "Hey pop, on my way and will be

there in about 5 minutes."  LOL.  Got to spend a couple hours catching up on a few things.  Don't get to

                              see him very often.
