I work with a guy who came here from Afghanistan when he was around 12 or 13. He is very bright, one of the top salespeople in the company. When he first arrived, he knew no English. Had to learn on the fly so to speak. I really admire him, though there are times he irritates me and others because he likes to talk all the time.

His family came here the right way. They didn't sneak across, they came in and worked and became citizens. So he and his family are examples of how to immigrate to the US.

Exactly. That's so nice to hear. As well as your admiration for your co-worker. We can not take the ideas and the principles of this country for granted. Thank you for commenting. I really do appreciate it.

When you take people who are here illegally off our welfare rolls, the system works better...I'm tired of footing the bill for the democrats voter base!

The people have spoken. The Dems keep treating  us like a basket of deplorables, and it will be many moons and election cycles before they ever get their hands on our basket again...diaper pins be <snip>ed...lol

There is a scene in the movie Doctor Strange where the Ancient One tells the doctor " Open your eye". I am telling you to open yours. There are according to estimates 11 million illegal immigrants in this country. There are NOT 11 million illegal immigrants on welfare. Open your freaking eyes. Act like you can actually think outside the box for just a minute.

People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it- George Bernard Shaw.

Let me put the poorly educated comment into perspective for you...when Trump said he loves the poorly educated,

it meant that's one of the bases who supported him and there is nothing wrong with them and he'll love them and

their votes. Believe me, he won't use them like Hillary would have...get their vote then put them back in the basket.

Remember? The Deplorables? She called us supporters that but would have used each of our votes for her sick path

to the White House no problem. Good thing we poorly educated, deplorable people saw past the lies and agenda and

stomped her out on election day.

"Let me put the poorly educated comment into perspective for you"

When Trump said "Poorly educated", it referred to a demographic of Nevada caucus voters that were less than college educated. The election results showed Trump's Nevada "poorly educated" Republicans voters made no difference because he lost that state. FYI, Trump won the election so whatever he called Nevada Republicans during the primaries is moot.

      "Remember? The Deplorables?"

Clinton lost in PA, Wisconsin, and probably in Michigan, but not because she put "half of Trump's supporters into a deplorable basket".  Are you suggesting that Trump's supporters decided to vote for him at the last minute because of something Clinton said months ago?

"She called us supporters that "

You either don't understand what "half" means or you're saying you're a deplorable Trump supporter. But either way it's useless information; the election is over, Trump is the President elect.

Both candidates unfavorable ratings were over 50%, but Clinton's ratings are no longer relevant. Ragging on Clinton won't raise Trump's favorible ratings so what is your logical reason for doing it?

It is more than odd that Stinkstack thinks those of us with busy careers can post to lottery topics all day and all night long. He does not seem to understand the concept of employment. The way he resents coin toss for his casino experience says it all. I doubt stinky ever worked a day in his life. He is very jealous of the lives of most of the lp members. If you have a flexible work schedule, that is great. Some of us do not have one.

          As Ridge would say, pfffffffffft!

          "As Ridge would say, pfffffffffft"

He was averaging almost 13 posts per day, but suddenly stopped posting. Why don't you tell us why your "good friend" is no longer posting?

I forget who it was that said when they have people blocked they just see little stacks of 'pancakes' but it is entertaining.

It also looks like a very bush league attempt to pad ones' post count for whatever reason.

"It also looks like a very bush league attempt"

The other day you were talking about skipping school and taunting a truant officer and now your babbling on about a "bush league attempt". Are you have major league flash backs?

Get your son, your daughter, grand kids, anyone to proof read your posts. Your "truant officer" stuff is right out of "Our Gang" or "Little Rascals" episodes. And do you really believe the "poorly educated" know what it means or will look up the term "bush league".

Stack, the name Trump is not even worth thinking about or mentioning. Bill Gross of Janus Capital has already stated on tv that he will be a 4 yr President that favors the status quo, is antI labor, and that the Trump supporters have been "hoodwinked." And I quote.

Trump won the Electoral vote because a small number of voters in three key states disliked Clinton more than him. It was the anti-Clinton people and not the real Republicans that won him the election. This thread is a great example because a week after the election, most of posters are trying to justify why they voted for Trump.

They must have serious doubts on whether or not he can do the job. Why else would be still talking about Clinton?

How can they logically say they can change America and make it "great again" by re-electing the same old Congress?

Only 2 and 1/2 years until the next Presidential cycle begins.
