When have I ever said I have alligience to anything? I'm a socialist, national distinctions are irrelevant. Some socialists go even further and refuse to recognize nations, I'm not that radical though. I'm not anti-USA, it's just really crappy. If America starts acting like a grown up country, I'll start being proud of my place of birth.

Hey King... I just watched elected VP Pence's response to the Hamilton play situation.  He told his children that's what freedom is all about.  And he's right.  No one here has the right; including me, to tell you to leave this country if you don't agree with our views.  Speak your mind and if you think you can change things for the better... More power to you.

    Never give up.  Banana

But , if he still decides to leave the USA, on his own volition, I can still help him pack.

It's called the Connecticut Compromise when the smaller populated states argued the larger states would elect and possibly control the Presidency.

I understand the why. before its inception the first 9 presidents were from Virginia.
I just don't understand how you can view it as a liberal idea.
after all, it was a change but it didn't liberate anything.
if your looking at change as being the definition of liberal, then yes it is.

it wasn't so far out of an idea that, the majority of the people were opposed to it was it?
it was placed in the constitution to preserve the voices and lifestyles of the smaller states.
to keep one small section of the country from ruling over the rest.
          sounds like conservatism to me.

I don't consider every time the constitution is amended, or a new law is written, that
it is automatically a liberal idea.
          for example...
HR 2978 Flag protection act of 1989.

First of all not so. You seem to have a grudge against 'CNN'. This report is all over local news channels. To accuse local news channels of 'brainwashing' for merely reporting stories and stating facts that have occurred in my mind is absurd.

I understand your dismay about CNN. Yes that news channel has only one thing on their mind, which is money. Well, it's kind of the most important thing to them.

I don't know about any burned churches, but I have heard repeatedly about swastikas over several news channels. Is it coincidence that these are occurring at a very high rate right now? Well, do you think Donald Trump actually speaks the way he does or acts the way he does when he's not in front of the camera or talking t o millions of people he does not know? I'm betting he doesn't, because he has to be a smart man to get to where he is. So then, I believe the questi on you should be asking is why does he? You as a voter and supporter of him should answer that for yourself. This is not 1930 anymore. Denial tells an interesting tale, not the right one.

              Yes, so.

CNN was obviously leaning the entire time. Anything they could report about Trump they did..Hillary was let off the

hook so many times it's not funny. Someone must've gotten a gag order on her health issues...the talk dried up about

those. I guess time will tell...cause CNN sure won't. I hate CNN but check in because I want to see what petty stuff

they're passing off as news. Oh the tweet thing today...there are cops dying in different states..executions, and they

want to dissect Trump as top news..about tweets??

              Conway...amazing all along..

              http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/21/politics/conway-interview-trump-twitter/index.html   < copy/paste that

To the Trump speaking and acting in ways you think is put on..you need to watch some of the rally speeches. That guy

never hid what he thought, never bit his lip and told it like it was and lots of people agreed with him. He wasn't afraid to

stand up and tell everyone what is wrong here and wasn't afraid to be unconventional. He's in, she's out. She ran on

safe topics..she ran on Trump put downs, she ran on scare tactics...she couldn't tell the people something good or convince

them that it wouldn't be just more Obama with her. 8 years is a lot of time, the O had his chance and I'm glad the H didn't

              get one.

Trump is a smart man...I don't think the question you say I need to ask myself is relevant - he got where he is being real.

CNN will always be on Trump's back..

Oh did anyone see the bit on Trump's likeness to a golden pheasant? That was by Japanese tv I believe..gee wiz...compare

Obama to his Portuguese Water Hound, there would be trouble. And why? Lots of people look like their dogs. CNN jumped on

the pheasant likeness....but would be quick to cry racism against Obama. Upside down, bullying world is all.

That Pence is one outstanding person. Very calm and put together, very patient and an excellent choice by Trump

for Vice President. I hope we see lots of him in action too.

I agree. Maybe the next president after 8 years of Trump.

I agree, Pence was an excellent choice for VP.  Hypothetically, if Jeb Bush was nominated and elected Presient (which would have been very doubtful) I wonder who his VP pick would have been?  I'm guessing someone like John Boehner.  Uck!

A liberal idea is equality for all and the Connecticut Compromise leveled the playing field with each state having equal representation in the Senate. The number of electoral votes for each state is the number of Congressional districts plus the two senators. In all but Maine and Nebraska the candidate winning popular vote in each state gets all the electoral votes. In Maine and Nebraska the winner of the popular vote gets two electoral votes and the candidate getting the most votes in each Congressional district gets those votes. Clinton won the popular vote in Maine and 1 of the two districts, Trump won the other.

"I don't consider every time the constitution is amended, or a new law is written, that it is automatically a liberal idea."

Some Amendments are very liberal (Women's Right to Vote), others very conservative (Prohibition), and some are neutral (Election of Senators). Most of them reflect the times.

Hate to tell you the bad news, but 2017 is a political off year with zero House Reps., zero Senators elections, but New Jersey and Virginia will elect governors. Of course there could be health issues of House members or Senators, but in most states, the Governor appoints someone from their party to fill out the rest of that terms.
