        I didn't say I never have read the DMN, I said I never read it, as in anymore...because I don't read a newspaper from Dallas. I live in the Fort Worth area and I'm interested in the Fort Worth area. And yes, there is a difference.

          You're free to pick up a bible and see whether they made any of them up. Hint: They're all in there as reported.

          God gave the 10 commandments and most of the other laws were adopted from existing cultures.

          One of the 10 commandments says thou shall not kill, the Israelites had to write sub laws to cover

          things like man slaughter etc....  Much of the Levitical law deals with purity and not sin as many think

          of sin today such as a woman's menstrual cycle.  I looked at the link you posted and as I expected

          many of these are without context.   Jesus made a whip and drove the money changers out of the

          temple.   I know about all those so called 11 kinds of Bible verses Christians love to ignore but I am

          not one of them, I would love to go head to head with anyone.

            Just an observation, a few people posting in this thread are on my block list, so what I see are multiple consecutive posts by the same poster all nice and tidy and compact. NWRJAN - not worth reading, just another nut.  Smile

            How is that not spam or at least a bush league attempt at padding one's post count?

            Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

              I used to be on the road a lot and remember a guy om radio saying that stations used to have their own persona and view of stories but at some point all the news was coming from one source and echoed on every station. 

              He said next time you were in your car and the news came on just go station to station and boy was he right.

                Yeah, here too. Sometimes all I see is like a stack of pancakes..one on top of the other. All condensed and

                    If you didn't know why I brought up Irwin, why didn't you just ask or better yet, not respond?

                    And why not just say you don't read the DMN anymore?

                    I thought you remarked on one of our resident Brither's post so I asked you about Presidential eligibility. If you didn't remark on the Birther garbage, you could have just ignored my post but noooooooooooooo, you had to start "trash talking" and I answered in kind.

                    IMO the real problem with our discussion (you and me) and all posts in this thread in general is the thrash talking.  When I mentioned the Dallas Morning News is endorsing Clinton, you called that paper "a rag" as you would probably call any newspaper endorsing Clinton "a rag". What you obviously don't know is the DMN hasn't endorsed a Democrat for President in 76 years and that includes Lyndon Johnson.

                    Last night Trump said our military generals "have been reduced to rubble" and when asked how he would fight ISIS, Trump said "they’d probably be different generals, to be honest with you." yet you call a newspaper "a rag" that for those and many other reasons for the first time in 76 years suggests that their readers not vote for a Republican; Trump.

                    I'll make a prediction, you and others will continue to ignore the many obvious downsides of Trump and continue the childish trash talking.

                      I said it before and I'll say it again.  This election boils down to Supreme Court appointees.  Personally, I think SCOTUS has way too much power, more than the President or Congress.  They can overturn anything at a whim.  Trump = Right.  Hillary = Left.

                        The Justices have the same power today as they had when the Constitution was ratified 229 years ago. Do you have an example of the SCOTUS exercising more power than given by the Constitution or more than Congress or the President?

Bush White House was trying to create the most ideological bench in the history of the nation" when Alito were nominated isn't exactly "freaking out". Freaking out is when Mitch McConnell wants to change the Constitution by saying The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president." And it can't get more liberal than suggesting the conformation of a Supreme Court Justice should be done by a national referendum. 

                            Coin Toss must be ignorant of the fact only two Court conformations were made during a Republican administration in the last 24 years and one, Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. actually got 78% of the vote. These type of comments justifies why pollsters are saying Trump is holding up pretty well in the places where there aren’t very many well-educated white voters.
