Same here and a crappy $5 million increase since no jackpot winner from last night. It'll never happen in a million years, but wouldn't it be nice if MM & PB were more transparent? I mean CEO salaries, expenses, the whole gambit. Who here thinks like me that with the lower starting jackpots and lower rollover increases it will hurt the bottom line? I think and hope it does!

That " take home dollar" amount is life changing. Always had this dream of retiring under the age of 40. I know l will tip a whole lot better once this crisis passes. I can see myself leaving a $20 tip for having a coffee & a donut. * Voice of Reason * * People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it- George Bernard Shaw.

Saw an article from Jan. 12, 2016 about the PB jackpot in How Stuff works. And the article explains why PB and MM will lose money if the jackpot is won in the first few drawing after the roll-over. Ticket sales in the last two PB drawings were about $32 million and if the figure "34%" of every $2 in sales goes to the jackpot that created $21.12 cash jackpot. Under the last payout structure, the estimated jackpot would be $60 million and if anyone knows how someone could purchase a $60 million payout 29 year annuity with $21.12 million, I want in too. I believe there are several reasons why both MM and PB are and will lose their popularity and lowering the start-up jackpot is just one. Another is the terrible smaller prize payouts. Can get the same $10 for matching three numbers playing a 5/39 game. With odd of 18 million to 1 of winning a $1 million, don't hold your breath. Might be the right time to re-evaluate and change one of the games and make it more player friendly. "When will we ever learn?"

To me the lottery can't see the forest for the trees. Give it time, once MM is won and both have crappy top jackpots I think sales will tank even more.

Think of How many people either not getting a paycheck or less then were getting or waiting for stimulus/ unemployment checks. Only thing Mass lottery is losing is CEO bonuses will be less, yes people will say money goes to cities/towns but how much as most cities/towns now have that money in general fund, no longer school funds as it was intended
