Merry Christmas to all, be safe, warm, full of love and good food. 🎄

Shepherds in the region where Jesus was born, which is believed to be in Bethlehem, would typically have their sheep in the fields during the spring and summer months, not in December. The biblical account of the nativity in the Gospel of Luke mentions that shepherds were in the fields at night when they received the angelic announcement of Jesus' birth. This suggests a warmer time of year, rather than the winter month of December.

The tradition of celebrating Christmas on December 25th likely has more to do with the early Christian church's efforts to Christianize existing pagan festivals that occurred around the winter solstice.

The specific date of Jesus' birth is not mentioned in the Bible, and December 25th was chosen as a date for celebration rather than a historically accurate birth date.

Yikes! With that said, It would be very Merry if I won a jackpot for "Christmas". It would be even more merrier if I won 2 big jackpots back to back!
I'll let you know if I win! Well probably not. I will try to stay anonymous!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the members, staff, and management of Lottery Post.

On another note, tonight Powerball is at $638million. That would be the ultimate Christmas present for me.

Ques to throw out for discussion:

I win the Lucky for Life and choose the annuity (let's assume I'm young for the sake of this argument)

Okay, 20 yrs has gone bye ..... I'm in my mid fifties let's say and I'm in good health .....  I decide to sell my annuity to some financial company ..... Is that even possible? I would think if it were it would be based on 20 more years of my life, right?

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas all!
