Provide solace where none exists.
Reading through some of the worlds past disasters, it really makes sense why the leaders of today would point to them as a means of justifying their own ignorance. They see a time when ignorance was the excuse; that it could explain their own inaction. Pointing at it and saying, See how bad it was then. , like some how that's supposed to provide solace in the idea that our own impending doom is really not that bad. I take no such unwarranted and arrogant a gamble on the d...

Home - Back to Work
Home from Omaha. Finished 3rd, in the money. Got more project Phase III work done while away than anticipated. Now it's back to completion of Phase II, although I might complete the Phase III section I worked on while away - I'm anxious to see whether the anomalies of which I had previously posted will continue to disappear. One thing I...

Pascal's Triangle and Other Work
Work on Pascal's Triangle page about 65% complete, but bogged down with an unlocatable (so far) error - and the last part is the toughest. One known error on the page was awaiting the next update but I may do an upload sooner. Reformatted the code for easier editing. Did some percentages for Powerball occurance frequency for a friend - interesting, and a...

Why Monks are Celibate
card from my 13 yr. old grandson a group of monks are copying the laws of the Church by hand. a new monk notices that thery're copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. he tells the head monk, if there was an error in the first copy, every copy after that would have the same error! the head monk says Good point, and goes to get the original manuscript. later, the young monk finds the head monk with his...

And so the experiment begins
Now that the entire system is finished, it's time to give it a legit shot from now until March 1st. So there is a system to generate 1 and only 1 pick per game that is based on error corrected mirrors, that is inclusive of the PA pick 2, Pick 3, pick 4 and pick 5. The wagering strategy is the same as for the old follower system, $1 straight bets across the board on the days I play (usually 4 to 5 days a week) so the max expected cost would be $40 per week....

Next evolutionary step of the follower program.
As it is written, the follower refinery script constitutes an estimation function, which is another way to say it is a definitive best guess . Since this is ultimately an attempt to manually implement a machine learning strategy, the next step will be an error function. I finally figured out how to set up the back test! This process will involve 1. Loading up the first 1,000 games of any of the pick n games into a pandas data frame that will be...

Spreadsheet ideas for error identification.
After evaluating several formula ideas for capturing the difference of the drawn number and my pick, I ultimately decided to go with a vertical lookup table (VLOOKUP) that has 100 rows of every possible drawn digit and every possible prediction. This keeps the results signed (+/-) so I can then count each observed error with the countif and use max to find the most frequent signed error for the data in each position. Got a busy work week, so I might not get to finish the sheet, or e...
